A cosy 3 bedroom beach cottage without modern amenities; away from the mod cons of city living to truly relax and unwind at a 5 minute walk to the beach. Nunthidar is a charming getaway but is basic - no wifi or dishwasher. This is our holiday home and is lived in so please do not expect hotel standards. Car essential, a 5 minute drive to the surf beach.
The house has a small television set with DVD player. It has a radio and cassette player. A basic kitchen with electric stove and oven. No dishwasher. Has ceiling fan in main bedroom & living room.
A relaxing bike ride to Churchill historic Island, to have lunch or afternoon tea and stroll along the beach and the lavender farm. A truly relaxing holiday.
A fifteen minute drive to Cowes (or 45 minutes by bike). A ferry can be caught to French Island eco/prison farm. Ferry facility to Queenscliff or to seal rocks.
Take a day trip to Phillip Island nature park or to the Nobbies which are all close proximity, a 20 minute drive. Great entertainment for kids during school holidays. Phillip Island dodgem car ride in Cowes.
Plenty of great dinning places such as Mario in San Remo & Cape Woolamai Bar & Bistro. Fishbone for great takeaway fish & chips. There is now a fresh seafood shop in Newhaven.

A lovely little older style house, low key and cosy. Fabulous location. Super clean with a lot of thought gone into enjoying the deck, the wood fire and basic comforts.
Home was clean and really comfortable. Large yard for children and dog. So close to the beach. Great location, short bike ride to Churchill Island and San Remo. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed for 5 nights in this homely cottage and had a lovely time. The kitchen is well-stocked too. Our cat enjoyed the vantage points as well, watching the birds and the rabbits in the garden.
Cosy property in divine location soooo close to the beach in a quiet part of the island. We loved it and will hopefully stay again!
Theresa is very helpful and responds quickly to messages.

Great time at nice cozy place
Thanks Theresa for the nice stay.
Love the deck. Nice place to sit in the sun n shade. Only little from the beach so loved my morning walk.
Love to be back there if i get another opportunity.
Thanks
Aman
The description of the property was very accurate - comfortable but humble, in a great location with quick and easy beach access, and close to anything else that we wanted to do. Despite how busy the island is over Easter, it was incredibly quiet at relaxing at the house. We had a couple of little things we needed to contact Theresa about and she replied very quickly. Thanks Theresa for a relaxing stay!

Dear Deb,
Thank you for being such a great guest and glad to know that you had a great time and many thanks for the much needed good review.
Have a great night.
Our Family really enjoyed this house. No Wifi available but we felt like it was a holiday when we were kids. VHS tapes and little TV. Games provided. Lovely outdoor deck and grass area. Dogs enjoyed the backyard. Dan remo beach is a 4 minute walk and Cape Woolami back beach a 4 minute drive. Theresa was lovely and extremely helpful, even decorated the house for Christmas, and bought our toddler a Christmas gift. Overall we had a really nice trip!
Walking the dogs on the beach 10 minutes after waking up each morning!
If you are looking for a family holiday reminiscent of the ones you had when you or your kids were little - this is it! Beautiful location, bandicoots in the front yard- paradise for all your kids - grown up and fur babies alike! Phillip Island is packed with activities for all interests and Cape Wollami 10 minutes walk away is filled with bird life, spectacular views and postcard beaches.Host Theresa is gracious and generous, truly invested in making sure your stay is enjoyable and house is impeccably clean. Walk all over with dogs in tow and settle down to a glass of wine, San Remo Coop seafood and an old style VHS movie you haven’t seen in years! Or have a family sing along at the piano so you can see where all that money went on music lessons!Thoroughly recommend.

Nuthidar lots of potential but needs some work
Lovely beach house but needs a bit more maintenance. Toilet kept running, no remote for the TV and digital set top box only picked up limited channels, door lock difficult to use, bath had not been cleaned for while and had lots of grime around edges.
We loved everything about this old school holiday home from the minute we arrived. The bed was extremely comfy as were the couches. The kitchen is very well stocked. A few minute walk to the dog beach meant our dog had a great start and end to each day and we then enjoyed exploring other beaches nearby. I imagine a midwinter stay would be equally enjoyable cosying up with the fire. Wooli tavern was a great dinner spot for us. We booked the Penguin parade one night which surpassed expectations- amazing. Another evening (must be low tide) we ventured to the Foster caves which was a stunning visit. Overall a fabulous 4 night stay with our kids with the right mix of relaxation and exploration.
This dog friendly accommodation is perfect for obedient and well behaved dogs. Escape artists or elderly dogs may need some supervision outside to prevent them from accidentally wandering underneath the house. The accommodation is very well equipped and includes a great wood fire heater for the cold nights. It is tugged away in the quieter corner of Cape Woolamai which was really enjoyable and relaxing. The dog beach is only a short stroll away which is a bonus for this dog friendly home.
Close to the beach. Lovely sunny verandah. The house is less cosy, more lived in. It is a time capsule with only the fridge and microwave as new (and functioning) additions in the kitchen. The place needs a refresh and maintenance. Very little effort is made to make guests feel welcome in what is clearly someone’s holiday place.
We had a lovely stay at this rustic little cottage within walking distance to the sea. Quiet location and handy distance to the shops too. We'll be back!
Felt like home had everything that was needed to accommodate all our needs very close to beach which was great for our walks and dogs are allowed on beach which our old dog loved would holiday again in the future

Had a problem with window screen, over dining area, very west wind( second last day),screencoming off , 2 of us trying to slide it back up and it ripped on the side, please report to owner of property . If Theresa would like to contact me, not a problem. Thanks: Melissa Buckland
