Cloudland - Garden Oasis, the comfort of home

Self-contained, private and modern apartment.

Cloudland sits proud on one of Blackheath's most prestigious streets. This brilliant property is close to Govetts Leap Lookout and only a short walk to the village with all its great cafe's, restaurants and galleries. If the world famous bush walks and views are not your thing, Centennial Glen Stables or Dryridge Estate Winery in Megalong Valley is literally the next suburb away.

There is no shortage of activities nearby but you may just choose to sit on deck and admire the exquisite garden with its assortment of rhododendrons and year-round seasonal flora.

Naturally, we have Rinnai gas heating and Platinum Foxtel but we also supply quality linen, towels, coffee/twinings tea, hotwater bottles and candles are provided. We also provide some goodies which will make your stay even more comfortable. Free WIFI is available.

The apartment has two very large bedrooms, each with a king bed and it's own ensuite - ensuring total privacy for each couple: a lounge room and a modern kitchen/living space with Fisher & Paykel Fridge/Dishwasher & Microwave.A Weber BBQ has been introduced located right of wooden door front entry. It is suitable for two couples or a small family.

This property will not allow smoking or pets inside the apartment and we the owners ask you respect the no shoe policy on carpeted areas during wet weather.

Really lovely place to stay, with loads of amenities and access to Blackheath and beyond. Everything worked as described, plenty of heat and comfortable beds. Being at the back of the property, it was so quiet, we could not hear a thing outside and the garden is spectacular, we had visits from a family of kookaburras and loads of Rosellas. We foolishly left a phone in the house when we left and Eva went out of her way to make sure we knew as quickly as possible and arranged for collection. Perfect weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at Cloudland, it was cosy and quiet. A very clean and well stocked apartment. Eva had afternoon tea waiting for us after a long drive which was appreciated. Definitely recommend Cloudland.

Cloudland - Lovely place to stay

This is the second time we have stayed at Cloudland. It’s perfect for our requirements. The apartment is very well set up with everything you need. The gas heaters, which we had to use on a couple of occasions, keep you cosy. We particularly love the view out to the garden. We hope to be back next year.

Overnight school holiday visit to Blackheath

We arrived after a long day travelling to find a pre-warmed, clean and cosy accommodation. Just what we needed! The property is quiet, spacious and well located not far from Govett’s Leap and Blackheath village. Eva was helpful with getting the DVD player going for the kids’ bedroom, and lending us a mobile charger when we forgot ours! Recommended.

Great place to stay

Cloudland - garden oasis was a fabulous place to stay. We were staying in Blackheath to go to the bmff which was cancelled. This meant we spent a lot more time in our accommodation than intended. It was extremely comfortable, well outfitted, including a pod coffee machine, & a kitchen with all you need. There was an en-suite off both bedrooms & a lovely outlook onto a beautiful garden. There’s undercover parking right near the front door & given it was raining this was very welcome. Entry to the property couldn’t be easier. A fabulous place.

Overnight Stay at Cloudland

Thank you Matt and Eva for everything you did to make our stay at Cloudland enjoyable. It was very thoughtful of you to leave a welcome letter and some tasty treats for our arrival. The location is fantastic, quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes drive to Blackheath village. The beds were very comfortable. The bedrooms were quite cold during our stay but thankfully the electric blankets before bed and the warm bedding kept us cosy. There were plenty of blankets and throws available if needed. The main ensuite was freezing, so we used the newer ensuite. The candles were lovely. The garden outlook and birdsong was tranquil to wake up to in the morning. We hope to return to Cloudland before too long.

Fabulous accommodation. We will be back

Clean, tidy and conveniently located, Cloudland exceeded our expectations. Kitchen was very well equipped and there were nice touches by Matthew, leaving us fresh bread for breakfast which we most appreciated. When we had some teething problems with the heating the first evening, Matthew was quick to respond and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. It's not common to get accommodation where both bedrooms have large-sized (felt like they were at least king sized) beds and our own ensuites - ideal for couples travelling together and neither couple having to compromise on comfort and convenience. The second ensuite was new but a little tight in space, but still very manageable. Cloudland was a great find, especially at this price point. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Quiet, private getaway

Tidy and nicely laid out apartment (ground floor of a duplex). The bedrooms are at either ends of the apartment so there is privacy for 2 couples, or parents + children. The 2 ensuites are brilliant. Very well stocked with the essentials in the kitchen; boxed games, novels, and magazines; Foxtel and Netflix. The owners also treated us to cereal, eggs, bread and juice plus chocolate. The owners are absolutely lovely and when we had an issue they responded immediately. Could do with instructions on how to use certain appliances eg the heater. For those who are noise sensitive you can hear the occupants upstairs which perhaps seemed louder given the quiet surrounds. But for us it wasn't really an issue. Highly recommend this place and would come back again.

Very comfortable and modern property! Govett's leap is a walkable distance from the accommodation. The hosts were quick to respond and very friendly, and the baked goods and easter eggs were a lovely touch! The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had many of the little accessories which some other accomodation lack (lots of spices, utensils and snacks.)

Purchased Cloudland for an escape from the city madness to the healthy tranquility of the mountains. The garden is phenomenal all year around but mind blowing in Spring. There is enough infrastructure that you feel secure with plenty to do and see without the sea of crowds, noise and traffic.

What makes this property unique

The whisper quiet, clean air and majestic beauty of the upper blue mountains makes it a very unique getaway to recharge your batteries. It is so close to Sydney that it is the perfect quick escape destination.
