Lorikeet Studio Apartment - 7 night minimum stay

Lorikeet Studio is a self-contained modern apartment within the boundaries of our house which we built in 2009. The apartment consists of a studio room with a double bed, table and two chairs and a tv, some basic kitchen facilities (microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle), a bathroom with shower, toilet and basin and an outdoor deck with a table and chairs for your use. It has its own private entrance, so you may come and go as you please.
Please note that the cooking facilities are designed for making breakfast and simple meals. Although there is a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery this property does not have a full kitchen with oven etc.

We also offer at no extra fee -

- weekly sheets and towels changed and apartment cleaned.
- wireless internet access for your own devices

Mordialloc is a pleasant beachside suburb about 45 mins from the centre of Melbourne. We live in a very quiet street, and our garden is visited by beautiful parrots and other wildlife. We are a few minutes walk from shops, buses and a swimming pool, and about 15 minutes walk from the railway station and centre of Mordialloc. The beach is about 20 minutes walk.

I found that parking was a problem in that there were so many vehicles trying to park in such a narrow street.and if you moved your car, you would lose your spot. Also there was some noise at times coming from the rooms above.

Holiday base

Overall property could not be faulted. I stayed 4 weeks and wasusing it as a base to visit family and friends so I did not need a full kitchen which suited me. Initially I felt it was too far from the town but the owner helped with advice on buses etc. found it was really easy to get around. There were several small shops nearby too. The location is nice and quiet and there is a nice area to sit out and relax

Delightful studio

The property was very convenient for my purposes, in a quiet suburban street with easy access to main traffic routes. The studio is small but perfectly formed, in a garden location with private access. The owners were prompt and helpful in their communications. I was working hard while in Melbourne and it was very restful to come back to this delightful studio at night, have a hot shower and relax in a very comfy bed, or sit outside listening to birds or reading. I'd happily stay here again and can highly recommend it to any other visitors to Melbourne.

Green tranquility

Super tidy room with everything there at your disposal for short to mid term stays. Airy & bright with gorgeous garden surrounds that lulls you into a restful stay. Close drive to beaches & there are lovely neighbourhood walks in streets filled with local native trees & birds. Hosts are very accommodating & welcoming. Lovely couple of weeks!

A slice of heaven

Absolutely gorgeous home on the most stunning property. Comfortable, clean, private, has absolutely everything you need. Located in the most beautiful suburb and so close to the beach. This is my second stay here, and the hosts are so lovely and helpful - cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much for having me. Can’t wait to return soon.

Most beautiful home in the most gorgeous location

Thank you so much for my stay of nearly a month. This is the most beautiful, comfortable, warm and welcoming home - with absolutely everything you need. It has been so relaxing and rejuvenating - and the deck with tropical yard is divine. The hosts are the loveliest, kindest, friendliest and most caring people. Mordialloc is beautiful - the beach and eateries are amazing. I wish I could stay forever! Thank you so much for such a lovely time.

We drove fro NSW for the birth of a grandchild and needed a place close by to baby without imposing on new parents All we needed was in walking distance Most enjoyable

Excellent above expectations

Our stay has been excellent and above what we expected. The room is modern clean and very comfortable. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. Location to eateries, public transport and the beach are added bonuses. Being allowed to have our dog with us has made it even better. She has children to play with and even goes to school for visits. Would recommend Lorikeet to all who want to stay.

Simon and Fiona have been lovely hosts. We have felt very at home with them. Our dog also lives it as she has children to play with and lies if walks.
