Overall quite pleased. The promo pic of the swimming pool is not accurate, which did not look cared for or appealing. Great location for our purposes. Would have been good to have a smart TV to access HD channels.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rui’s apartment. Although small the apartment is in an excellent position, it backs on to the Botanic Gardens, is very quiet and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Rui was excellent in his communications and answered any questions we had quickly. We will definitely stay again when next in Darwin, and have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to anyone thinking of staying in the area. Thanks Rui for a great stay.
Cosy, private little place part of a much larger apartment complex. Really enjoyed it, especially for one person. A couple could make it work as well.Appreciated that it was well-stocked with many extras such as cooking gear and tea and coffee. Washing machine, dryer and fridge all in good order. Ceiling fan and old school box AC kept it cool. Was clean and well-kept when I arrived. Felt like home.Bed was comfy, back deck a bonus which looks onto botanic gardens behind a fence. Enjoyed the communal pool/s as well (2 of them). They’re cold, but set well back with plenty of privacy. During the day on weekdays when I assume everyone’s at work I got them to myself.Negatives - tv probably does need an upgrade, very limited channels. And neighbours woke me up a few times with barking dogs, loud coughing and smoking. Unfortunately not much the owner can do about that.Overall would strongly recommend for one person as a cheaper option when you’ve got multiple days in town.
Accurate description. Its a small room, older style and has everything you need. Rui the host was great. Its nothing fancy but as one of the cheapest places in Darwin, so can't ask for more as a base to leave your stuff and explore. Loved the location- walked through the botanic gardens daily and great coffee, pastries and brekky nearby at Sweetbrew & co coffee shop. Walked easily to Mindil beach markets on Thursday nights.

Small and dingy
We enjoyed the location right next to the Botanic Gardens, offering pleasant walks and a great shady cafe. But this property did not match our expectations from the listing. The bed is terrible - you can feel every spring and it creaks like a ship at sea. Everything is mismatched, chipped or peeling. The place needs a complete renovation. It is tiny, just a bedroom/ensuite with facilities jammed in to a tiny ‘kitchenette’ and cupboard. Everything works although they need a bit of coaxing - the TV was the blue thing up to scratch (live programming only). Overall the complex has seen better days and its coming edition should be reflected in a lower price. As it is we rate it as 2 stars.
This room has everything. We just wanted a reasonably priced, clean room with a kitchen, shower and toilet. It was perfect as we didn’t spend a lot of time in there other than to sleep. We loved how we could walk down to the Botanic Gardens cafe for breakfast every morning. The area was quiet and we felt very safe there. The host was very communicative and didn’t hesitate to let us know to reach out if we needed anything! Would highly recommend.
