Lovely cabin with a lovely view
We has a great stay! The house is well stocked with everything you would need, even a great assortment of games and puzzles. We loved the wooded back yard and the view from the dock. We will have to come back in the fall and use the firepit!
We enjoyed our stay at Seneca Hidden cottage. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nicely updated. The view of the lake was pretty and the nighttime fire pit was fun!! Thanks for a great stay!!
Family getaway while dropping kiddo off at college
Brief 2-day stay while dropping one of our kids off for freshman year at Clemson. The property was exactly as advertised, very clean, and a great location on the water. Short walk to the dock, and water in mid-August was perfect. Very much enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was the perfect size for a group of five, and the location is excellent. Our hosts were so friendly and available if we needed anything. We’d love to return!
My family thoroughly enjoyed this place. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature. Fishing from the dock was great - my grandson caught his first fish! I definitely recommend staying here!
The property was perfect for our Clemson Family weekend! Wish we could have enjoyed the lake more while we were there. The location was perfect and the host was very accommodating and welcoming! Thanks again and we hope to book again in the future.
We were in town for a little R&R and to attend a music festival in Anderson. We couldn’t have found a better location or property. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything one could want for a getaway. The host was very nice and accommodating.
The home is located in a quiet cove just across from a boat ramp. Excellent location if you’re planning on bringing your boat. House is comfortable. Kitchen has all the necessary essentials. Lovely porch with a filtered view of the lake. Owner is available to answer any questions or help if needed. About 25 minute boat ride to Clemson marina. Would not hesitate to rent again.
5/5 all the way around. We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. The house was as pictured, clean and super cute. The dock was nice and it was SO quiet— we loved it! Highly recommend and we are already planning another trip!
We went to see our son in law graduate with his masters degree. It was the perfect location to get to Clemson and far enough to enjoy the beautiful lake. It’s only 10 minutes from Clemson. 😜 we would definitely stay here again and maybe rent a boat next time.
House was cute and clean. The house was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. We snuck away for a July 4th weekend with family. Loved that we could enjoy the dogs. The dock is excellent with some covered space and a boat slip that we used on the day we rented a boat. Only negative was that there was no electricity down near the dock.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. There were 5 of us and we were comfortable with space. It was nice having access to the refrigerator in the garage in addition to the full kitchen. We were in town for a Clemson football game and the house was a very reasonable distance from campus/stadium.
The weather could have been better but the house and location were perfect. We made the most of rainy days by traveling to Greenville and playing family games. On the good weather days…the view from the dock exceeded expectations. The house had everything we needed and was clean/cozy. We loved all the restaurants near Clemson. Highly recommend The Esso Club, Loose Change, and Charleston. Our kids loved Andee’s Custom Blended Ice Cream…went twice but would have went nightly. Hope to come back soon!!
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Hidden Cottage. Lake Hartwell is beautiful. The water was calm and cove was quiet. Just a wonderful location! The dock was a nice spot to hang out. There is a boat ramp across the cove which was convenient. The kayaks and paddle board were a fun surprise! Lots of catfish were caught. The kitchen & bathrooms were well stocked with necessities. The layout is nice, two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. One bath downstairs.Helpful add’l info…After reading reviews, we’d asked the contact if we needed to bring ext cords to get power to the dock for our boat. He replied that there were cords on property, so no need to bring any. More info or having this set up would have been helpful as it ended up being a hassle to get them plugged together - there was cord on the ground and others were hanging above through the trees. They’re also on a timer. The driveway is very narrow. If you have a boat trailer, you should leave it in the area before the driveway. The hill going down to the lake is very steep. It wasn’t a problem at all for our family though. We did run into a few snags. The place was very dusty! The ceiling fan blades had a thick layer of dust on them. We also noticed a lot of dust under the beds and on light fixtures. Basically it was surface clean but could use a deep clean. The showers were not draining properly & the pillows are hard, like crooked neck hard. We had a good trip and hope this can help future renters!
