Middenway is centrally located in the heart of picturesque Port Fairy. Only a 1 minute walk to cafes, shops and pubs, Middenway provides the perfect spot to holiday and not miss out on anything the town has to offer.

Middenway is a classic beautiful house that has that home away from home feeling with a touch of rustic charm. As you open the front door you are instantly drawn to the hallway that stretches from one end of the house to the other with wooden floorboards joining all the rooms to the centre of the house. The house sleeps any arrangement from 2 people to 11 people which makes it perfect for couples, families and even large groups.

The house contains 5 bedrooms with the following set up:
Bedroom 1 - King Bed - sleeping 2 people
Bedroom 2 - 2 King Singles and a trundle - sleeping 3 people
Bedroom 3 - King Bed - sleeping 2 people
Bedroom 4 - King Bed - sleeping 2 people
Bedroom 5 - 2 Single beds - sleeping 2 people

As you venture to the middle of the home you are met by a spacious modern bathroom with both a shower and a bath. The toilet is separate and further down the hall and there is also another shower in the laundry that is fully equipped with all the modern laundry appliances.

From the hallway you then walk into the open area encompassing the lounge, dining and kitchen with beautiful French doors that open onto an expansive undercover deck. The kitchen, dining and lounge room are equipped with all the modern appliances and plenty of room to accommodate all the family members comfortably while overlooking the tranquil backyard.

Out on the back deck there is a lounge and large entertaining table and chairs with a BBQ nearby to make for the perfect evening meal taking in the serenity of the luscious garden.

Beautiful old style country house with big verandah and deck area…lovely garden surrounds…big bedrooms with big comfy beds …and a fantastic new spacious bathroom! Location was excellent…a stroll to the cafes, pubs and shops. IGA less than 5 mins away!!Totally will stay again with our 3 adult children and their partners…and our new little grandchild!

Great house in great location

This is a beautifully appointed house in a central location (just behind the shops) that is easy walking distance to both beaches. There are two showers and toilets, so suitable for family groups. Only one living room (with one TV), but attractive private gardens front and back and a large covered deck area to spread out.

Fabulous house in centre of town.

Absolutely fantastic property! The house was massive and very comfortable. King beds and plenty of singles. Kitchen well stocked. Great new bathroom. Outside area great with plenty of seating. Position is right in town. Less than a min walk to cafes. Very close to beach. We all loved this house and location. Will defiantly stay again. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a great comfortable house in Port Fairy where you can walk anywhere.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. It is in a brilliant location close to everything. The house is a great layout. The backyard was perfect for our dog. The kitchen could do with a good spring clean as it has a lot of clutter which meant we did not have a lot of space to store our own things. The electric stovetop was hard to use as it seems to only have two temp settings (on really high or off). The bbq is too small for the number of people the house can sleep so we did find we resorted to takeaway more than we would have liked.

Marvellous Middenway

As listed and per site photos - Middenway has a lovely cottage feel to it and keeps to that style except for where modern facilities are appreciated i.e. lovely modern bathroom, great heating, comfy furniture, larger than queen beds and importantly - two loos and showers. An abundance of crockery, glasses, cutlery, appliances and a very good working oven - great for hot cross buns! There was a large variety of DVD's to choose from for our couch potatoes and a lovely area outside for kids to play. The covered back verandah was fabulous for sitting out and enjoying a wine or two. Middenway is only one street from all the shopping area so you can walk all around town. We all loved it here and hope we can stay again.

I have 3 children and love spending weekends in Port Fairy at our holidays house when it is available.

Why they chose this property

I was only looking at when i walked into the house i knew it was the one for close to everything. the big renovation was already done. All it needed was painting white and lots of playing in the garden.It is a place to relax, look at magazines, get some dirt under my fingers, walk on the to cafes, pubs breaths :)

What makes this property unique

As soon as you walk in... you feel it is feels homely... it isn't perfect, it isn't too precious house changes each year depending what 'new' furniture i can find to 'up cycle'.Its my big dolls house that i love moving furniture around.
the house is great that you are in the centre of town, walk everywhere!
