About this property

90 Mile Beach House- Walk to the beach

The 90 Mile Beach house is a 3 hour drive away from Melbourne and a relaxing pet friendly (fully fenced) getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is a perfect blend of bush and beach. You can walk to the beach in 15-20 minutes or sit on the front deck with vistas of the bushland and the local wildlife. This includes kangaroos, rosellas, kookaburras and bunnies. The closest main town is Sale 32km's away. There are 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and the house can accommodate 9 people however the living room and dining room is more suitable for up to 7 people.

You will need to bring bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels, and a bath mat or this is available at an extra charge per booking.

Blankets and Donnas are supplied and available at the house.

This period home is complete with high ceilings and timber floorboards and has been updated with a granite kitchen which is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, a coffee percolator and rice cooker. The kitchen has an electric oven and a cook top. There is a fridge and a chest freezer

There are 3 bedrooms.
The first bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed.
The second bedroom has two single beds and a single camp bed,
The third bedroom has a double bed
There is also a single bed at the back of the house next to the laundry.

There is a split system air conditioner / heater in the living / dining area, heaters in the bedrooms and living area and two fans for use in the bedrooms.

There is a main bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower. The laundry has a second toilet, a sink, washer and dryer. The house is fully fly wired and we have provided games for use while you are here. There is also a TV and DVD player with a good selection of DVD's. There is a front deck with a coffee table and chairs, there is a back covered area with a gas BBQ, wood fired kettle BBQ and tables and chairs. There is a large fully fenced backyard perfect for pets.

The beach is truly stunning and very quiet and secluded with no pet restrictions. Fishing off the beach can be enjoyed at all times of the year and if you are lucky you just might just catch something! There is a January surf fishing competition in Golden Beach (just 10 minutes down the road). The 90 mile beach has been in the top 100 Australia Beaches list. Golden Beach has just been named Victoria's best secluded beach by RACV's in a 2018 article. The Age newspaper just did a write up in 2018 on Paradise Beach ' A slice of Paradise: life at one of Victoria's least-known beaches' saying it was a 'secluded paradise. . . a vista of great beauty. An expanse of coastal splendor; of calm cobalt-blue waters, and miles of mostly uninhibited beach'.

This property is located in a perfect place where you will feel at peace and really be able to relax. It is quiet and leafy as it is ideally located with open land on one side and a 10 minute walk to the famous 90 Mile Beach on the other. You can look out the front window and you will see a green plain with bush land which is home to many Kangaroos, Kookaburras, and Rosellas and the odd bunny rabbit. We have also had Rosellas nesting on the property and October and November is the time you may see Joeys in mum’s pouch.

You will also find this wild life at the local golf club and bowls club in Golden Beach. Visitors are welcome to play at both and the prices are very reasonable. If you can't be bothered cooking there are a couple of very good take away food shops and a cafe / restaurant and a meal made by locals on Saturday night at the VMMR Community / bowls club. We recommend you bring provisions with you or visit the closest town Sale 32 km's away which has a range of supermarkets and restaurants. You can also explore the Gippsland lakes walking / bike riding trails around Paradise Beach and Sale. Loch Sport and Seaspray are a 30 minute drive away.

The 90 mile beach and surrounds is a constantly changing environment with people sighting seals and whales off the beach. The 90 mile beach is truly magnificent with an uninterrupted stretch of pearly white beach that changes from aquamarine blue to turquoise and shades of grey depending on the time of the year. This area can be enjoyed all year around.

You will need to bring:

• Bedding - Sheets and blankets / doonas and pillowcases

• Tea towels
• Extra toilet paper and napkins
• Mosquito repellent and fly spray.
• Fishing rods and bait (if you want to fish on the 90 mile beach or Sale waterways for Carp)

Great Stay
My 3 girlfriends and I had a great stay. House was clean neat and quirky. Plenty of games to entertain us. Weather was wet and windy so didnt get to go to the beach but were very entertained by kangaroos over the road. Very comfortable beds. Everything we needed for a relaxing night. Thanks Amanda.

I truly love the beach. I can't get enough of it. That's why I fell in love with this area as I can literally roll out of bed and I am there in 10 minutes if I walk or if I am feeling lazy I can jump in my car and I am there in 5. When I get there I feel truly refreshed, enlivened and awestruck by the sheer beauty of the 90 mile beach. I remember taking my dog there 15 years ago and couldn't wait to get back. Often it is just me and my family on the beach and maybe a few others. This area is still untouched and there are not many places like that left in the world. My second passion is wildlife and I get such joy from seeing the local wildlife in nature where they are happy. Just being able to look out of the living room and see the Kangas and birds is a joy and very relaxing. I bought a pair of binoculars and if I am lucky I zoom in and see the detail. Now I bring my family and we enjoy the beach and bush setting and love to ride our bikes around before we get the BBQ or fire going in the evening.

Why they chose this property

This property appealed to me because it has some lovely period features including high ceilings and is very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is new and modern and it has 2 toilets. It is priced competitively for the number of people it accommodates. The house treads lightly on the environment and brings a charm to its surrounds.

What makes this property unique

There is a wildlife / chilling / relaxing viewing deck at the front, a large fully fenced back yard for the fur babies and a large gas BBQ, wood fired BBQ and the kitchen has an electric oven and stove top. There is a laundry with washer and dryer, 2 toilets and a main bathroom.
