We had a lovely time in Maine and enjoyed the farm house for our downtime and sleeping. It was exactly what we were looking for and would 100% stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you!

I'm so happy to hear you had a wonderful time in Maine and enjoyed the stay at the Heyer House. Thanks for sharing your experience.
The house was spotless, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We only stayed two nights to visit family and it worked out well for us.

Loved it! Is so clean and well stocked with everything we needed! Plenty of room for 6 people! We will come back for sure!
The house was exactly as pictured. The beds were extremely comfortable. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked. I would definitely stay here again.
Superstar clean. Spacious. A lot of effort with detail-for example lots of night lights. Bright and sunny. We neede a particular size pot-owner made a great effort to provide.
This is now my second time staying at this house. It is so perfect for a week long getaway. The host goes above and beyond making sure that you are happy. When in Maine I would probably never stay anywhere else.
Spotless home with central location to southern points and an interesting history. Fit our party of (4) adults, (1) couple and (2) singles. Rooms are well spaced out, as well as layout of the homes bathrooms. If mobility is of concern, this would be a challenge, as the first floor bedroom requires steps down and the remaining upstairs bedrooms, require a very steep ascent and grip on the railing. AC in all bedrooms is a plus. Overall, a very cute home and layout. If you want surfaces you could eat off of, this is the home for you.
We were so pleased with everything about our stay. When you rent a house there is often worn furniture and although it may be clean it has that 'lived in worn out look.' That was not the case in this historic well cared for gem. Everything was fresh and clean and the house has such personality. There was plenty of room for the six of us to sit together at the kitchen table and share a meal. The beds are so comfortable; it was hard to get up in the morning except the beauty of Maine beckoned us! There is a small deck outside that is perfect to sit and sip your morning coffee, or sit and relax with a cold drink after a day of exploring. The house was also comfortable enough to just sit relax and play games on a rainy day. The owner went out of her way to accommodate us and is easily accessible. I'm sure we will be back!
The home was nice and clean. Our family enjoyed our visit to Maine and the rental accommodations. The house was to our surprise conveniently located not far from one of the few grocery stores in Waldoboro. It is a historic home so therefore it does have a antiquated charm. The stairs leading up to the second floor are quite steep. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, glassware and a wonderfully quiet newer dishwasher. We did have a issue with "sugar" ants the first two days but with some investigating we located a open box of sugar packets placed them in the refrigerator and no longer had a ant issue. There is only one shower in the home on the lower level but it was very clean and had a good amount of water pressure. The full size washer and dryer were wonderful. The parking is limited and the online photo of the outside of the home makes the home look like it sits back a distance from the road. The home actually sits very close to a major road. The road you have to back out onto is heavily travelled and has a major blind spot when pulling out. The small deck in the rear of the home has a nice picnic table and gas grill on it. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the neighbors chickens it made me feel at home. The check out instructions were very concise and well within reason. I would highly recommend this home for rental and I would definitely stay again on future visits.
It was a wonderful stay at this home. The home was incredibly clean, the beds were very comfortable and had great bedding on them. It was a great location to all the nearby places we wanted to go to. Loved the historic charm. We would love to come and stay again!
Enjoyed morning visit from neighbors chickens. Very quiet, country home. Enjoyed our stay.
Two suggestions…
1) Warn renters about the steep stairs.
2) Address sign at road needs to be visible for those arriving late.
This house was very comfortable and clean, in a quiet area. We enjoyed being close to several small towns, so we could explore the area. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we had plenty of towels and wash cloths for our extended family group.
Place was very nice, and had all that we needed. Very well stocked home and super cozy.
Check in not until 4PM and check out at 10AM. The list of checkout chores is long.
Host let us stay an extra hour which was nice.
Very nice antique farmhouse.. slightly closer to the road than we expected, so there was some traffic noise, but not enough to keep us awake. We were there in the middle of a heat wave, so really appreciated the bedroom air conditioning units. With the unusually warm weather, an additional fan / air conditioning unit/ shades on the upper part of the living room windows would have helped keep it more comfortable. It was definitely better when we moved the fan from the smaller upstairs bedroom to the hallway to circulate the air into the living room.
Wonderful location..we went to light houses in Rockland, played a round of golf, and went sea kayaking. Also enjoyed our hosts' recommended restaurants, both Claws in Rockland and Moody's diner..

Great historic home. A very comfortable place to stay in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
First time in Maine and we loved staying in a traditional house. Perfect for what we needed! The place was very clean and our host was very helpful and easy to get in touch with.
The house is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We appreciated the window AC units as it was very hot the week we visited. Overall, this is a very nice and enjoyable property that fit our family of 4 very well. We liked seeing the chickens from next door wander into the yard while we ate dinner on the deck outback. They were super cute.
Excellent stay - highly recommend to couples and families!
We had an absolutely lovely stay at this property! It looked exactly as described on the page. The house had just been cleaned and you could tell; it smelled lovely and looked pristine, which was especially comforting in the midst of the pandemic. The house was spacious and certainly has room for a whole family to visit.
The property owner and the local caretaker were incredibly helpful and checked on us throughout our stay. There was a slight delay in checking in and they made it up to us by allowing for a later check out.
While there isn't a ton going on in the area, it is very quaint and adorable with lots of charm. We stopped by a local dairy farm and it was well worth it. Very close to many other areas of Maine as well, particularly Portland and Freeport.
Overall excellent stay in a unique, historic home. Highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in staying in the area!
