Amazing house next to Garden of the Gods

My family of 5 stayed here in July and it was the perfect house for us! I loved the proximity to the park. We played tennis, baseball, and the kids loved the playground. We also could walk easily to trails that led to Garden of the Gods. The house was equipped with everything we needed, and the same day grocery delivery was awesome - we had everything we needed during our stay! Estee was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Short stay

Short stay for us on our venture home from Estes. The property was as described and my kids loved the park behind the property. We did not see any bears, but we did see lots of rabbits. The neighbor is chatty and friendly, the dog barks a bit early next door, but is very cute. The house has lots of large windows and we just happened to be there during a heat wave, so it was uncomfortably hot a lot of the time, but we managed with cold showers. We were surprised to hear gunshots and screaming in the park around midnight our first night there -and getting the kids calmed down was rough. The next night was quiet. Not being from there, we trusted it was a safe area, but will verify next trip. That isn’t on the owner or the property. The kitchen is large. The outside grill was very dirty, but the fire pit was an excellent addition and we loved the S'mores stuff and logs provided. They also provided shampoo and conditioner, but we were confused as to the amount of the product we were allowed to use and during the times of COVID we did not leave the containers of The provided product behind, but later learned that was a big no-no. We checked out of the property early or we would have gladly returned it. I will say I wish that it had been disclosed that it was a shared re-filled bottle/product for allergy purposes amongst other things, so we could have had an educated option and refrained from using it. The house is wired with speakers which is a delightful addition. The games provided were fun and we made great use of them as a family. The master shower was filthy above the top line of the shower doors and the towel rack in the master was broken upon arrival. And an odd nail was left on the vanity in the master as if it were intended to hang the mirror with. All very minor things. We used our Clorox wipes on all surfaces we touched as we were leaving and feel overall that we had a more than memorable time. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this lovely home.

My husband (of 22 years and still going strong) and I are loving life in Colorado Springs with our 3 kids!

Why they chose this property

Pleasant Valley was once the summer campsite of Ute Indians. It later became a place prospectors gathered and bought supplies before heading up Ute Pass to the gold mining claims at higher altitudes. The Pleasant Valley neighborhood as we know it was established in the late 1950's and was built in a valley that was once part of the Rock Ledge Ranch. It is a wonderful slice of Americana, at the base of Pike's Peak.
Other things to note:
We can provide a grocery run if you contact us early enough! Arrive with a fridge full of goodness already stocked! Additional pack and play and baby gates are available.

What makes this property unique

Complete access to the home, except the shed. 6 acre park for your enjoyment - Don't be surprised if you see a herd of deer come to graze each evening!
