Very good

Good quiet location yet only a few minutes to cowes main street, house was presented clean and tidy new kitchen just installed with some final touches to be done ,bathroom is dated but still much appreciated at the end of a big day and comfortable lounge and beds, would definitely be interested in staying there again.
Pros
+ view from master bedroom is great
+ mattress in master bedroom is good
+ good amount of kitchen equipment
+ location is secluded and great. Good walks around house.
Cons
+ no wifi (doesn't say there is wifi on the listing but would help to say there is no wifi)
+ no oven (advertised it does)
+ bad onboarding process (have to sign a separate 9 page contract and another contract on top of that)
+ lots of linen there even though they say strictly no linen available. Would have saved a lot of extra packing.
+ sofa is mediocre, which is a pain in a small cosy house
+ had to sweep lots of animal poo from deck and on top of outdoor dinning table
+ tv only has 5 main channels. In a house of no wifi, that's painful.
+ check out isn't at 10am. The keys need to be back at the estate agents by 10am.

NOT 'pet-friendly'
A very stressful stay (which we cut short) as the property is NOT suitable for pets! The fencing is described as 'farm fencing' but its not even that, with wires missing, meaning dogs can run out onto the busy road!
Amenities states linens provided (they don't) and a kitchen ... there is no oven and only half of the stove top works. Its shabby and run down, and over all a major disappointment for the price they charge. The only highlight was being close to the dog beach.
We had a great time. A very peaceful property with plenty of wildlife and a great view. The house was a little old but was fine and had everything we needed.

Great location not dog friendly
Great location, simple place with good basic supplies. Property was not dog safe/friendly, fence does not keep dogs in & we had to have our dog on a leash or indoors the whole time. Not recommended for pet owners.
Great place to stay with a pet. Quiet location with an abundance of native birds morning and late afternoon and a brilliant deck to watch the sunset. Comfortable and clean.
Tiny but cosy cottage. Fireplace kept us warm during our stay-you’ll need to bring or buy your own however because the firewood located outside was wet and didn’t burn well. Kitchen and bathroom could do with an update. Overall pleasant and no internet meant we spent more family time off screens.
Perfect for the kids to run around and play cricket while we sat on the balcony and enjoyed the views. Has everything you need. Plenty of room for 2 or three family's but you would have to check at time of booking. No oven so that changed our Christmas lunch plans but we managed doing a roast in the oven. We definitely will book again.
