Luxury apartment near Denia

Excellent and well equipped apartment. Family loved the padel court, the children’s playground and pool. Well situated by the sea. Contact with owner was very good. We had a couple of small issues that were resolved very quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Thank you Nathalie.

My husband and I stayed here for the month of February, 2023. The apartment was very nice and just as pictured. The kitchen had most of the stuff that we needed. Surprisingly there was not a spatula suitable for making eggs, so we purchased our own, and we also took it home with us as a souvenir. Having traveled there by plane we needed to rent our linens. I was quoted 35.00 for a set of sheets and towels for my husband and I. I was pretty disappointed that we only received one small towel and one larger towel each. Thirty five dollars is quite a bit to spend for two sets of towels and one set of sheets. I'm not sure what we were supposed to use while the towels were in the wash. When I complained to the manager she took my concerns to the owner (Nathalie, not Henri, as mentioned in all of the wonderful reviews) and Nathalie supplied us with another set at no additional cost. Coming from America I was expecting washclothes too, but perhaps that's not a thing in Europe. I ended up buying some of those as well. This was our first European trip and we learned quite a bit. When I reserved this place I did so because of all the the wonderful things that everyone had to say about Henri, the previous owner. From my understanding (I could be wrong) Nathalie (his daughter) now owns it. I don't really have any complaints about Nathalie, but I was a bit taken aback to discover that I would not be dealing with Henri. Especially when I wasn't really dealing with Nathalie either. We were met by a Mr. and Mrs. Sola, and they were wonderful. We had a hard time finding the place and they were very patient and helped us the best they could to find the apartment.. When we got there they did a reading of the water meter and the electric meter. We were told that we would need to pay for the water and electric, but I totally forgot that it had to be cash, which posed a bit of an issue when I didn't have the cash when we checked out. It was really inconvenient to go to an ATM to get the cash, but thankfully there was one right down the road. Mr. Sola followed us to the ATM so that we could pay him. All of that could have been avoided if Nathalie could have been paid with a card, just like we had paid for the rent. It ended up costing us quite a bit more getting the cash. That's really my only big complaint. Totally my fault, but in my defense I have only ever paid once at other Vrbos. Also, Nathalie and the Solas speak French, not Spanish or English

Madame Salter je suis contente que l'appartement vous ai plu et qu'il corresponde bien au descriptif. Je suis surprise sur le fait que vous vous attendiez à voir mon papa car depuis le début nous avons échangé ensemble et je vous avait bien expliqué que Christine et Jean Louis vous accueilleraient. En effet j'ai repris la gestion des locations de mon appartement pour libérer mon papa ! Nous sommes des français et notre appartement est notre résidence secondaire .Concernant la location de draps tout est bien expliqué avant votre arrivé , il est vrai qu'il n'y avait pas de gants de toilette , j'en prends bonne note et nous en proposerons désormais. Concernant les consommations en eaux et électricité, il était bien préciser que pendant la période d'hiver nous avons choisi de mettre des loyers plus bas et de faire régler la consommation de chacun. C'est d'ailleurs bien précisé dans l'annonce et je vous l'ai rappelé lors de votre réservation. j'espère vous revoir un jour et pour vous faciliter les règlements nous mettrons un loyer plus élevé dès le départ . belle journée Nathalie

Mooi appartement, gunstig gelegen en goed ingericht. De omgeving is zeer geschikt om met de fiets te verplaatsen, geen sterke heuvels. We hadden prachtig weer in maart, en konden goed profiteren van het mooie en ruime terras.

Apartamento estupendo.

El apartamento es muy bonito y cuidado. Al tener terraza con salida directa al jardín y piscina es ideal para familias. La playa no estuvo muy limpia, no es de arena tampoco, aunque a mí eso me daba igual.

Schöne Ferienwohnung, sehr netter Gastgeber

Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer gepflegten Anlage mit direktem Strandzugang mit Kiesstrand. In sehr kurzer Entfernung gibt es einen Sandstrand. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Sehr netter Gastgeber der bei der Übergabe alles erklärt hat. Ein kleines Problem wurde sofort erledigt. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Inmejorable y muy recomendable

El apartamento es tal y como aparece en las fotos o, incluso, mejor: limpieza impecable por Chantal (quien nos recibió estupendamente), decoración con buen gusto, completamente equipado (tanto en la cocina, con gran variedad de electrodomésticos y enseres, como en el resto de la casa), con todas las comodidades (ventiladores, A/A...), muy confortable (amplias habitaciones, 2 baños, camas y resto de muebles cómodos y, prácticamente, nuevos), 2 terrazas (1 de ellas muy grande) con una orientación que permite ver las espectaculares amaneceres y atardeceres desde primera línea de playa, galería/lavadero muy útil, cocina abierta (pero con un buen extractor, así que no se llena de humo u olores la casa). La urbanización es también magnífica: varias piscinas (2 con zona infantil y adulta +1 de hidromasaje), acceso directo a la playa, cancha de paddle, columpios, bonito jardín, amabilísimo conserje. Situada en la zona de la Almadrava (entre Denia y Els Poblets), en primera línea del mar: saliendo a la derecha, hay un pequeño paseo marítimo con varios locales (restaurantes, hotel, sitios de copas, etc.) y una playa de cantos rodados en la orilla (nada más entrar en el mar, es de arena). A la izquierda, hay otra playa (ésta totalmente de arena, aunque depende de la zona, es más o menos fina, tipo grava, pero puedes ir descalzo sin problemas en toda esta zona) y otro restaurante. A menos de 200metros hay un supermercado (Saladar), no muy grande, pero tampoco pequeño, muy completo, con productos, tanto españoles como extranjeros, que no encuentras en otros supermercados de cadenas más conocidas y echas de menos cuando vuelves a España. El propietario, desde el primer momento estuvo muy atento a mis mensajes, resolviendo todas mis dudas y preguntas, además de tener varios detalles con nosotros. Merci beaucoup, Henri! En conclusión, todo perfecto y muy recomendable, lo que ya he hecho sin dudar a todos mis amigos y familiares :)

Très bon échange avec le propriétaire et son interlocuteur sur place. Logement en excellent état et très fonctionnel , idéalement placé dans la résidence au pied des jeux et de la piscine. Je recommande cet appartement pour des vacances reposante et en famille. La résidence est très calme et les piscines ne sont pas surpeuplés qui plus est surveillées par un maître nageur ce qui est très rassurant pour les enfants. Prévoir la voiture pour aller en ville Denia est à 10kms. La plage est à 200m à pied le top !

Home away from home.

March 2019 we rented the apartment of Henri Macé, who turned out to be a gracious host with a good command of English. The apartment is situated on the ground floor of the Estrella del Mar complex with sea view, a nice garden, two swimming pools and direct access to the beach. It has a lovely big sunny terrace (until about 14.00 hours) and a small balcony at the back which catches the sun from about 15.30 hours. It is nice and modern with a complete kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. Two of our daughters came over for a few days, so it was very nice having a separate guest room and extra bathroom! As we came by plane Henri arranged the rent of bed linens and towels. Nearby are restaurants and supermarkets. We paid a moderate amount for water and heating, as the apartment is relatively cold at this time of the year. Thanks Henri for everything! We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort, the sun, the beaches en we hope to be back soon.
