Absolutely wonderful! My family, ages 2-69, loved the Ranch! So much for everyone to enjoy, the slide, the swings, feeding the horses treats, and running and playing in the wide open spaces. Very well stocked with all the basics, and the owner, Mark, was very accommodating, friendly, and had lots of recommendations. Super location off the beaten path, but yet close to many attractions. We all were sad to leave.
We loved staying on this property! The kids enjoyed the creek, swings and awesome slide. We loved hanging outside in the middle patio area, very private and cool. Property owner was very helpful when we taught him out for attractions & local guides. Great stay.
Everything was excellent except dealing with Evolve - who seems to be the manager, took days to get back and not very informative... I think they're located in Denver. WE WANT A MANAGER IN THE CITY OR AREA and NEAR THE LOCATION! The owner, who lived next door was great!
This was the perfect place for my husband and I along with our kids, their spouses, and our 6 grandchildren. Lots of things to do on the property as well as a great location. Our grandchildren never got bored!
This place is so inviting. Lots of space for the whole family. The stream was a great place to cool down and relax. Large area for playing catch and kids games. It’s so beautiful and we had some great family time.

From the owner: "These were lovely people. They called the morning of their departure to let us know everything was in order and that they had purchased us a gift for the house, a new American Flag. The nicest thing anyone has done for us. Great people!"

Perfect for larger gatherings!
This was the perfect spot for our family of 16! There is so much room whether you want to all be together or find a spot to be by yourself. We had a few issues that were taken care of immediately by Ronni. She is so nice and helpful. The ranch house and bunkhouse were both so cozy and inviting! We loved it here and the location is perfect for doing everything in the southern Hills! Sadly, it rained most of the time we were there, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor area as much as we would have liked. We highly recommend staying at The Ranch!

We really loved the place. It was like going back home to the country. All the amenities we needed were there. The owner was super in making sure all was well with us. We would definitely hope to return and rent this property again. We loved it!

Ranch at Keystone
We had guests from ND; SD; TX; FL. The setting is beautiful. the accomodations perfect. We stayed in Ranch House and Bunk house and both are wonderfully equipped; clean; quiet. Our family expressed this being the "best place ever stayed in!" I totally agree!
We had a great time. The property was very quainte. The house was nice and clean. This would be great for a large group since there is a bunk house you can rent that is right on the property. Five Stars from us!!!!
Was very impressed with the house and immediate property. However we were never able to go for walks in our area because a bull was located right next to the property and the only area there was to walk. Felt very restricted to area without using a vehicle.
Was a beautiful area with deer, turkeys, and a bull! Plenty of space for kids to run around, volleyball net up, old fashioned swing, small creek. Wonderful!
Halway between Hermosa and Keystone! Rustic themed! Can tell owner is putting lots of work and love into! We needed a few more outlets and big house possibly a bigger hot water heater. Would love instructions on TVs but we slowly figured out(didn't really need a lot- just for Olympics)
Thank you
I loved the setup! So unique!
Our family of 12 (including 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 11 and 8 year olds) had an amazing time at the Ranch at Keystone. Exactly as it was described and pictured there was ample space for everyone and tons of organic entertainment. The boys stayed in the bunkhouse while the adults and girls stayed in the main house. The devices took a back seat to fishing/ swimming in the stream, family volleyball on the lawn, Corn-hole, fire pit and hanging with the horses out front. A night at the Rodeo (20 mins away) and the beautiful scenery of Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore were right around the corner. We could not have asked for a better location and wholesome accommodations. The owner Mark was so nice and helpful and the houses had all of the items needed to have an enjoyable stay. The house and bunk house are rustic and authentic to the South Dakota feel and the record player in the bunk house was a huge hit! If you plan on making this place your home away from home, I do recommend stopping in Rapid City for groceries first. POP’s Grocery down the road is sweet, super friendly and gives military discounts and has essential items but not enough for a weeks worth of food.

Thank you for that wonderful review. We try to have enough things to do to keep the kids happy we love when the families come and utilize all the ranch has to offer. The Ranch At Keystone is a wonderful place for families. Thanks again!!
Loved our stay at the Ranch at Keystone. We were a family of 6 adults and 5 boys ages ranging from 4 to 10 years of age. We rented both the main house and the bunkhouse, which was wonderful for our boys. The ranch is centrally located so that we were able to visit Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Hot Springs, the Badlands, Crazy Horse Memorial and even the Devil's Tower in Wyoming on relatively short day trips. Tons of activities nearby to keep young boys busy: gold mining, rocket launching in the Badlands, visiting wooly mammoth dig site in Hot Springs, Alpine slide and ropes course in Keystone, tubing on Sylvan Lake. At the ranch, they also had a ball wading across the creek, fishing, and visiting the two horses, who were always there to greet us in the morning and the evening. We have stayed at many VRBO's, and this was the best stocked of all. It's so nice not to have to buy staples such as salt/pepper and sugar. We stocked up on groceries in Rapid City on our way in, which we highly recommend. That's where we did the greater part of our shopping, although we were able to pick up smaller amounts on our local trips.Mark stopped by briefly several times during our stay and made great recommendations, including a rodeo one night which we, sadly, had to skip because it was the only time we had bad weather. I'm sure he would have been available to help had we had any need, but with the ranch in such good shape, we did not.A great and memorable family vacation!

Thank you so much for this awesome review of all there is to do on your Keystone vacation. We are so happy you you enjoyed your accommodations. We hope to see you again on a future visit. Thank you again!!
We were a party of 12 - 6 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of room for all and the Host was very accommodating to us.
The view was great, all the spaces were lovely and comfortable. The SLIDE was used everyday by all the kids - even the 17 yr old! The beds were very comfortable, the appliances were new and there was plenty of space to park. We ran out of table space and wished for tray tables, lol, but we were completely happy nonetheless. Did I mention we had 12?
The setting was awesome, there were deer or livestock around all the time. It was a short drive to Keystone-a great location for seeing the Hills. We named all the bulls and petted the horses - a treat for our city kids! None of us were fly fisherman (there's LOTS of opportunity for that there) but there is a Little Falls trail very close by that our small ones could drop bobbers into and caught their first trout!
All in all a wonderful experience - thank you for sharing it with us! SO GLAD we came!

Quiet with space for everyone
We very much enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Our group included two grandparents (us), our four children, three spouses, and 8 grandchildren for a total of 17! There was plenty of room for sleeping between the cabin and the bunkhouse. Both buildings were stocked with blankets, pillows, and such. We ate nearly all our meals at the ranch and the two large tables plus two picnic tables were more than adequate. There was two fridges and a small dorm type fridge so plenty of space for food and beverages. Both buildings are air conditioned so that was a plus as the temperature hit 100 degrees a couple days. The best part of the ranch was that our grandkids had plenty of space to play and run. There was a volleyball net set up as well as a bags (cornhole) game ready for us when we arrived. The grandkids spent a lot of time down at the small creek that runs through the property wading and playing in the water and swinging in a swing that hung from tree next to the creek. There is also a large slide from a deck off the second floor of the cabin, but it turned out to be a little too fast for our young grandkids.I would remind everyone that the ranch is in the country, 7 miles from Keystone and about 10 miles from Hermosa. It is rural, away from the stores, restaurants, tourist attractions which is a plus for our family but may make some people feel isolated. It is also next to a cattle ranch (you have to cross a small pasture owned by a neighbor to get to the property). The pasture has cattle guards you will drive across so no gates have to be opened or shut. Our grandkids enjoyed watching the cows walk back and forth, grazing in the pasture.I would highly recommend this property, especially if you have a large group and don't mind a rural, somewhat rustic setting.

Great place to stay for a large group!
Be brought along 21 people for a sports camp. The area was perfect, the house was very nice and had everything we needed. If our team stays the same size, we will be coming back year after year!
We met the owner a few times and he was absolutely awesome. He gave us some good recommendations, access to different parts of the property, and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very accommodating.

Wonderful time once again
This is the second time we've stayed here and we love it. There's plenty of space for a multiple family get-together. The kids love having a big yard to play in, as well as their own area to hang out.
We love this cabin and hope to make it an annual trip.
The location was great, it was a quite area and close to Keystone. The cows greeted us at night when we returned, and the turkeys kept us company in the mornings. I would stay here again.
We loved our stay at Keystone Ranch! Four generations of our family stayed at the ranch for our black hills vacation, and the property was big enough for all of us! We all enjoyed the wildlife that roamed the property. The property was clean and close to all of the big attractions. The owner provided helpful local recommendations. Highly recommend!
Fantastic family vacation in the beautiful black hills
We had a wonderful time during our 5 day stay at keystone ranch! Location is great, the area is gorgeous, and the house worked out just perfect for our family. We would love to plan a return trip!
It was perfect! Lots of room for all of us and lots of privacy as well. We enjoyed the wildlife and the Western decor.

Great vacation spot
This property has almost everything we could want in a family reunion vacation. The location is perfect for touring the southern Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Black Hills Playhouse and lakes for swimming and fishing. The kitchen has wonderful and modern appliances, both the house & bunkhouse are beautifully decorated and the covered patio with fridge, sink, and grill is a great gathering spot. The yard is large enough for our Badminton & Corn Hole games and LOVE that wind chime! The only reason my review doesn't have 5 stars is the lack of air conditioning in the bunkhouse. It stays very warm in there and cool air would make it perfect.

Great property and awesome trip !
Our family (20+) stayed at the ranch and had such a great trip. The home and bunk house was clean and accommodated all of us very well.
The close proximity to Mount Rushmore, Rush Mountain Adventure park and the hiking trail with the falls allowed us to spend more time together.
Thanks for allowing us to spend time at your property.
