Welcome to Sea Clam, a charming 3-bedroom cottage-style unit in the desirable Sea Shell Condominiums, located directly on the bay beach in Wellfleet’s scenic Chequessett Neck area. With unbeatable ocean views and a spacious, sun-drenched deck, this cottage offers a classic Cape Cod experience just minutes from the village.

Enjoy morning coffee or evening meals on the large private deck overlooking the water—perfect for outdoor entertaining or quiet relaxation. Inside, the cottage features a cozy living space with comfortable furnishings, cable TV, stereo, and WiFi. The full kitchen is equipped with all the essentials, including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.

The location places you close to everything that makes Wellfleet special: local art galleries, the town marina and harbor, casual and fine dining, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and the beloved Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater. Just a short drive away, you’ll also find the bike path, scenic nature trails, and kettle ponds for fresh water swims.

Sea Clam visit

Our stay at the Sea Clam was fantastic! Our grandsons came early in the week and were delighted by having the harbor in their front yard. We had other family for the rest of the week and the cottage was fine for 6 adults. Sweet, sort of old fashioned, near the bay for great sunsets, near town for restaurants and shops, and the harbor right there for long walks. We’ll be back.

Simple, cozy cottage in a beautiful rustic setting in Wellfleet - close to everything, but tucked away in a spot with the bay within steps from your front door. Hard to beat Wellfleet.(Only suggestion for improvement - the refrigerator worked fine, but was a bit noisy.)

Perfect family summer cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Sea Shells in Wellfleet are magical and the Sea Clam did not disappoint. The cottage is quiet and breezy. The chirping birds, dune grasses and gently breaking waves when the tide is in all add to the Cape Cod experience. The cottage is charming and cozy with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom off the main living area. Kitchen and appointments work great for preparing meals. For children (and adults), there is so much to do and explore right from the front door and after that, Atlantic beaches, Gull Pond, the Wellfleet Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary, minigolf, drive-in movie theater, flea market and so much more are 15 minutes away. Perfect summer experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2 year at this unit and we absolutely love the location. The unit a bit dated but has all of the essentials. Upon arriving this year, the unit was in good shape but it appeared the cleaning service had not come. The previous guests left the property in decent order but we had to do some cleaning along with some work on the deck as there were a lot of deck screws that were pulling out and could hurt our kids feet (and mine!). I called the property manager and they got back to me and expressed concern and offered to send a cleaning crew over which we declined because we had already cleaned everything. Regardless, we will be back as it is a fantastic spot. we love wellfleet and you cant beat being right on the bay. thanks again-Jack

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience started out very badly with our arrival at the address provided for the condo location, but no indication of the name of the rental which was needed to identify it. We finally found a person who does some maintenance and was able to direct us to the location of the property. The door was already open, which was fortunate since the keys we'd been provided did not work. We found the property to be very dusty and dirty looking in many areas. Other problems were no lock on the bathroom, owner's personal items in drawers and closets, a non-working outlet covered with duct-tape which allowed for only one working small lamp to light one bedroom (no other lighting). The doorknob in the same bedroom was crudely repaired to require much force to open and close. The kitchen area had inadequate lighting making it very difficult to wash dishes properly in the evenings. Some of the furniture pieces were very dated and had some damage. Children's pictures were left on a bedroom door. It didn't feel like the property was prepared for rentals. We were also disappointed that the picture provided didn't show the unit in front of the property, which led us to believe it was a more private location. On the positive side, the sitting area was comfortable and there was a nice patio with rocker, umbrellas, and eating table outside. The beach was very easy to access. We arrived Sat evening and sent an e-mail with our concerns to the realty company on Sunday. We were responded to via e-mail and personal call late Sunday and Monday. The reality company (Victoria and Brooks, Oceanview Realty) responded with much concern which we appreciated. They had cleaners come in on Wed morning to do a good cleaning which made us feel more comfortable. Unfortunately it was midweek of our 7 night stay before we felt we could begin to relax and enjoy our stay. The realty company checked in with us during the week and I'm sure future stays in this property will be much imp
