Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Beautiful location, and house was very comfortable and accommodating. Internet access was a bit spotty, although this was not a negative for us at all.
We had a great time. Nice to drop our boat and canoe in close by and get to the dock. The stairs are long, but a good leg and cardio workout. The owners were amazing and responded very promptly- espeically important since we booked so last minute, but also responsive during our trip. Thank you Joe and Nancy!!
Property was wonderful should have question distance from main road, Issues where promptly addressed caretaker brought a cake( awesome cake ) to make up for water issues that was caused by weather

Perfect getaway on Lake Nantahala
Perfect getaway on this absolutely charming lake. The house was perfect for two families with teenagers. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed; and the house was so nice that we happily cooked every meal at the house and enjoyed them on the porches overlooking the lake. The dock was great for swimming and for the boat we rented from Lakes End Marina. This was probably one of my favorite vacations of all time and we all look forward to returning soon.

Good but...
The place is calm, nice views! But the internet and cellphone don’t work. The AC doesn’t work well. It was so cold In the house. If you wants to see snow, it is a good place but the way is not good to drive. The house is good and appliances is very nice.

Hi Dora, we're glad you enjoyed your stay at this beautiful property overall. The listing does state that cell service is not available, and the Wifi can be spotty. As the homeowners mentioned when you spoke to them, there is a landline at the house for guests to use if needed. The owners also let us know that they have a new HVAC system in place, with very explicit instructions on how to operate both units in sync for best performance. They did explain this to you over the phone, and they were sorry to hear that you still felt the house was cold, as they thought the problem had been solved. They also made sure to let you know that you could stay past checkout time if needed, to make sure road conditions were safe when you left. These homeowners always go above and beyond for their guests, and we're confident that future guests will enjoy five-star stays here!

We arrived at the property after a long travel day. When we entered the property, we all noticed a strong musty smell. When I went into the master bedroom, I noticed a framed photograph that looked very dusty. I swiped my finger across it and it left a mark. Within seconds, my husband started coughing and had to go outside. He is highly sensitive and allergic to mold and went into a full on attack with vomiting and difficulty breathing. We called the property owners right away and were told to contact property management. They cancelled our reservation immediately and refunded our money. However, it was 8:00 on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend and we now had no place to stay (family of 6). We called around and finally found a hotel for the night. The owners were kind and responsive, however, it needs to be noted that the property has a high water content and mold issues that need to be addressed. It is not safe for a family to stay there. We want to help more families avoid their vacation being ruined. Please install dehumidifiers and clean for mold remediation.
The host, Joe, was awesome! He stayed in communication with us. A cold front came in and my father in law was cold, Joe walked my husband through changing the temperature on all floors in the house. We loved the quiet stay and the view. Home is very spacious so everyone had their own quarters. We loved it and wasn’t ready to go! Will definitely stay again!
Our family loved this house. There was space for everyone (10 of us) and the 4 bathrooms gave everyone privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. The porches were amazing. We spent all our time out there. The walk to the dock was definitely a workout but once you got there it was perfect. Lake Nantahala is spectacular. We brought enough food for the week so we did not need to go out. We brought kayaks and paddle boards that we were able to ferry over from the public marina that is very close. The house also had 3 kayaks, so we had toys for everyone. It was a wonderful family vacation.
This cabin is located very close to the Choga boat ramp which was a big help since we brought a boat. The parking area in front of the house had enough room for a truck with the boat trailer, and one other vehicle. Be warned, the stairs down to the dock are relatively long, even by Lake Nantahala standards. Give yourself a few days to adjust to the climb, and take a rest stop if needed. We had a great time, and the house was perfect for our family vacation.
Our family had an amazing time on our vacation. The house was very nice, clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. They kids enjoyed fishing from the dock and on the kayaks. There was plenty of room for everyone. Easy check in process and the owner responded quickly to any questions. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home
The property was lake front located at the top of a mountain. There were eight of us. We enjoyed the inside fireplaces as well as on the porch . It accommodated the family with plenty of room for activities and a place of quiet. Offsite activities we're approximately an hour away but I believe the view and accommodations were worth it.

The house was just as advertised and very comfortable. We had a minor situation on our part, but the owners were very understanding and helpful. The view is beautiful and very peaceful. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook with. It is a bit of a walk to the lake, but definitely worth it. There are lots of water items such as 2 kayaks, pool noodles, water guns, and plenty of life jackets if needed. We didn't want to leave, but would definitely stay again. Thank you, Nancy and Joe. We had an amazing time in your beautiful home!
Clear water but we were not able to catch any fish
Layout was good for families. Decks offered great view of the lake. Inside was somewhat dated but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Steep clime
The house is great!
There is a very steep clime from the lake to the house ( about 70 feet) as a disable veteran it made my vacation not good.

Hi Shaul, we're so sorry for the inconvenience. We take the accuracy of our listings seriously so we do note in the property's policies that stairs are required and that the home is on a steep incline. We don't advertise this as an easily accessible property but there is a nearby marina with easier access to the water. Thank you for your feedback!
The house was cozy and well stocked. Amazing view. Steep walk to the water - as advertised :). No cell service and poor internet. Don’t plan on this for a working vacation. A few quirks that we didn’t realize - like how to ensure hot water and sticky fireplace flue. All resolved quickly.
If you are looking for a peaceful, technology free weekend to spend quality time with your family or friends- this is the place for you. We take an annual girls trip, and this was the perfect house for us. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms gave us the space we needed, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the back deck provided beautiful views while sipping on coffee or wine, and the 2 living areas gave us plenty of room to hang out. While the wifi was spotty, it helped us to put our phones down and have actual conversations, eat meals together, and play games. We drove into Andrews to get groceries at Ingles, and visit a winery and brewery. We were worried when it said only 3 cars, but we were able to fit 5 (3 SUVs and 2 cars). I highly recommend staying here.
We thoroughly enjoyed the house and it's location right on the water. We were able to rent a pontoon boat from a company and they delivered it right to our dock. Great experience!
