Thank you Nadine for the lovely review, we loved having your parents Susan and David here, and it was lovely they got to spend time with family who were camping at the local lake, then come back to a comfortable bed.
The hut was quirky and characterful which we love! The kitchen had everything needed with which to cook (a gas hob with 2 rings) pots & pans plates, mugs etc and lots of extra bits like olive oil, pots of herbs etcThe bathroom also had everything needed & more as was the bedroom.Shona & Scott were extremely welcoming & friendly and would definitely recommend a stay there.

We felt so at home, and had a great location for exploring the Bay of Plenty. The Hut is a great place to unplug for a while and take in some of New Zealand's natural beauty. We appreciated the comfort, cleanliness, and attentiveness that the hosts offered. Thank you Scott & Shona for the warm welcome!

Thank you David and Tori for your review. We definetly would love to have you back again.
Absolutely adored this lovingly prepared guest suite. The rooms were clean and so thoughtfully decorated with found and antique items. It was lovely to be able to slide open the entire wall of the kitchen (papered with local newspaper from the 1960s--very amusing reading) for a sunny morning coffee with the sheep right across the fence. The sheep were very quiet--didn't make a single noise at night. We loved the claw-footed tub and the fully-equipped kitchen, the incredible stars at night and the very, very quite rural setting. This spot is a close as you could get to both of the region's geothermal parks and the commercial hot spring soaks (as well as the natural ones). Ideal location for a peaceful getaway. We would have loved it even more with a firmer mattress.
