About the host
Hosted by Maria Saint
I have lived at Blackstone for over 20 years but the property has been in my dad's family since the 1940's. I am a health care professional-an Occupational Therapist. My affiliation to nature keeps me here. I am lucky to live on a large piece of property and on a bay allowing me to feel connected and peaceful. My other passions include horseback riding, swimming in the lakes, kayaking, tap dancing, tapping maple syrup and being adventurous! I decided to share my home with others so that they too could share my experience of being in this beautiful place I call home.
Why they chose this property
I grew up outside of Sudbury and moved to Mississauga when I was 15. I knew I wanted to return north so when this property went up for sale in 2000 I decided to buy it. In doing so the property also stayed in the Saint family-now over 90 years. I moved here from Mississauga in 2001 after trading in my car for an SUV and found myself a job. I haven't looked back since!
What makes this property unique
This property is unique. It has every thing you could want: Privacy, clean water to swim in, great fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, close to amenities, parks and so much more. There is plenty of space for everyone to gather or to go off on your own and have some quiet time.
