This property has an excellent location. It has a full complement of kitchen utensils and the bones of a very nice apartment. The decor is very old and in need of updating.

Decent beach condo in private community

This condo is a short walk to the beach and part of a private community in the Bethany Beach area. There were more rules than we expected there would be (e.g. a rent-a-cop scolded us for hanging towels over the balcony), and many of the amenities associated with the community (e.g. the pools and hot tubs) had hours that were not very conducive to using them after children have gone to bed for the day (locked up after 6:00pm). As for the space itself, it was adequate but not the most clean or comfortable. The rental company indicated that the owner is in the process of making some updates, so this could change.

Beware! Sleepless in Sea Colony!

8/2025 The property is located in a great place in Sea Colony! However, the mattresses on each of the three beds are AWFUL! The twin bed was broken. The full size bed had some kind of plastic mattress that rubbed and made noise any time you moved. The primary bedroom had a mattress that sunk into the middle of the bed that made sleeping quite difficult. The pillows had no fluff. I can not believe this property is being rented with these bed/mattress issues! It was very disappointing! There are blackout curtains so either no light comes in or you expose yourself to neighbors. In addition, if the curtains are pulled shut, the lighting is dim and dreary. The property was poorly cleaned. The floors were not gritty dirty but filthy on feet, socks. There are updates to the kitchen and living area furniture. The AC worked well. Either the property owner or rental folks ( Long and Foster) need to go check out the sleeping situation in this property. I would be embarrassed to rent to folks at this price point when you can’t possibly sleep in those beds!!!! The screens were falling out of the slider doors. The outdoor space on the deck was nice. This unit has potential but not up to par as of 8/2025!

Sea Colony is great but not this unit.

Needs major updating. Beds were very uncomfortable. Place was not cleaned well.
