We enjoyed our time at this property. Very clean, easy access and great location. Would recommend this property to friends & family. Looking forward to another trip next year.
Loved staying in this house. My kids especially loved the top floor. Because of how tall it is and the porches, it felt a bit like a tree house. Private, cozy, perfect location.
This residence is very clean and spacious. It always makes our Thanksgiving so special.

Stay in the Highlands
Overall our experience was good. Highlands, NC is beautiful. Great hiking and waterfalls. Main town shops and restaurants are very nice but expensive. Be aware of times, many restaurants close by 9pm. Our stay was good, house could use some refreshing and updates.
When we arrived, we were surprised to find out our place was being remodeled and was unavailable. After traveling for 4 hours and family 8 hours, we had to find an alternate place last minute in an overbooked location. This created slot of stress and now I am apprehensive on using BRBO in the future.
Cute house in a great neighborhood that is very close to town. Lots of stairs. Wish there would have been more flexibility with the check in time (3PM) and check out time (10AM).

Great location
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The home was huge and we loved that we were able to walk into town (but note that both the driveway & the street the house is on are quite steep!) and the porch is so lovely. The house wasn’t super clean & we had some issues communicating with the host/company with a particular issue, but overall we had a nice stay & would probably stay here again!
This house is bigger than the pictures looked. The living space isn’t huge, but has plenty of beds and a great porch! Sadly, the porch furniture was all blown around from the storm before we got there, but other than that - we had a blast!
The house was clean and roomy. There were plenty of towels and comfortable beds. The location was very close to downtown. We are repeat customers in renting this house. We plan to try and get it next year also. 10 out of 10.
Quite an enjoyable stay at this somewhat oddly designed house on top of a hill overlooking the Highlands. The driveway is well hidden (and steep) so make sure to watch closely for the house number on a large tree. But once up the driveway, it expands into an area for 4 cars. Kitchen/Bathrooms are all modern and nice. Wrap around decks give it its Treehouse name, and on the top floor you can see over the trees and the surrounding area. Location is perfect- less than 0.5 mile from downtown, and there was always plenty of parking even on a late June weekend. Bruce (contact host) was awesome and great communication.

The Tower
This rental had comfortable furniture, plenty of quality towels, dishes, cutlery & within walking distance to town. Internet service was good. However, it needs a deep cleaning & attention to some maintenance issues - for instance, none of the windows opened. It would have been helpful to have had some type of home book to guide us on the particulars of this house.
The property was great overall. As advertised!!! The only glitches were our misplacement of the door code. During the stay, we were unable to lock the front door. The TV was a mystery. Suggest. a written hand book on how the door locks work and how to operate the TV. Wanted to get PBS and NBC on but it was impossible. The thermostat should have an operating manual for those unfamiliar with that thermostat.Written instructions for these three would save a lot of hassle for guests and the local representative.
We just arrived home from a nice mountain getaway with our family. This home was nice and spacious and very close to downtown Highlands. I emailed with the property manager about several things that were wrong with the house during our stay and still have not received any communication. Overall the house was great and convenient, but would love to have better service when things are wrong.
Property as described. Very clean. Comfortable. Enjoyed the decks and views, just wish we didnt have so much rain to enjoy it even more! (The covered patio doesnt protect from rain well). Close proximity to town, "easy" walk in regards to distance (which is why we chose this place) however very steep walk home. Disclaimer: we're from florida so any incline seems steep, haha, but the road and driveway were def very steep! Made for a good workout. Most enjoyed bringing our two dogs for very minimal fee, which we appreciate! Loved our stay, enjoying the house, charming town, and nearby naturesque trails!
My wife and I were in town for the Highlands Motoring Festival. The home is close enough town that we could walk to the Motoring Festival and not have to fight for a parking space downtown. The house was well equipped and the location convenient. Our only negative was constant noise from a house under construction directly behind the home. Nothing the owner can do about it, but if you are wanting a quiet stay you may be disappointed. They were even working early on Sunday morning. Roads in the subdivision are extremely narrow and we had to pull off the road regularly to allow vehicles going the opposite direction to pass.
Location is excellent but you can definitely tell this property is run by a management company. House was clean except for the inch of dust on the windows over the master bed. Upstairs TV did not work and after letting Dale know, all he could say was “they were very sorry.”
Everything outside was covered in pollen, so we did not take advantage of the outside seating. Only one burner on the grill worked so we changed our minds on cooking outside.
Ample towels, beds slept great. Overall a 3 out of 5. Pantry was not stocked.
Kiddos wanted to watch March Madness but since the upstairs TV did not work, we all crammed downstairs to watch.
This could be a 5 star house if it was managed by the owners or someone with a personal vested interest.
