This is our second year renting 36 Hickory Cove. Overall, it was a good rental experience. The unit, while dated, was in generally good condition. Unfortunately the heat stopped working in the living room area (all of the other rooms had heat), which was a problem. That room became very cold, especially in the evening during February. We tried to get the problem resolved, but the owners elected to leave it alone. The management at Palmetto Dunes tried to help and compensated us for our inconvenience. Unless the heat situation gets resolved, it would be difficult for anyone to rent this unit during the winter months. All of the other rooms were excellent and comfortable. The furniture in the unit is dated, but very comfortable. The screens and doors of the unit are older and tend to be tough to open and close. The amenities in the condo were sufficient and in good shape. The location of Hickory Cove cannot be beat. There is ample parking and it is a short walk to the beach.
