Loddon Retreat- Iconic 5 bedroom homestead in Glenlyon.

Positioned up high with views overlooking the Loddon River valley and the village of Glenlyon this 5-bedroom home is an entertainer’s dream.

With a wonderful wrap around veranda and oversized floorplan, this property is packed with features. Huge open plan kitchen with dining table for 10-12. Two living/ lounge areas, one with large screen TV and surround sound theatre area, the other with wood fireplace and built-in bar. Multi-zone Sonos sound system inside and out.

Five bedrooms; 1 king bedroom, 3 queens (1 with ensuite and king-size spa bath) with the 5th bedroom appointed with 2 single beds. In addition, a second large central bathroom with spa bath, separate toilet. Multiple split system heating/cooling units, ceiling fans in every bedroom as well as Nobo panel heaters in each room cater for all seasons. Outside Loddon Retreat steps it up again with large undercover area, outdoor seating BBQ and a built-in pizza oven, space for hammocks, fruit and olive orchards and our resident alpacas. This is a great home for a family retreat.

With gorgeous country views from every room and the privacy afforded by a house surrounded on all sides by land, this amazing property finds itself in one of the most beautiful locations in the district. The Glenlyon General Store is just a short 250m stroll. Glenlyon Mineral Springs, Glenlyon Reserve and Loddon Falls are all within walking distance only a few minutes away, along with multiple wineries within a few minutes drive.

Located 10 minutes from Daylesford and 15 minutes from Kyneton, Loddon Retreat at Glenlyon is sure to provide for your relaxation needs.

Our family stay was wonderful in Glenlyon. The property is nicely situated with views. There is a General Store within walking distance. The house is very spacious with a very large kitchen in which you can cook up a storm. Daylesford is about 12km away.

Luxury country retreat

The home was spectacular with large, well appointed communal spaces, indoors and out. The bedrooms were also generous and comfortable. The views from every window were idyllic.The location is fantastic, very close to Daylesford and a short drive to Kyneton, Trentham and the surrounding features of the area. Loved being able to take a short stroll through the property to the gorgeous Glenlyon General Store for a coffee or light meal.

Gorgeous country charm

As soon as you walk in this house you are instantly relaxed. Lamps on and soothing music playing. It was just beautiful. Everything was thought of to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the quirky art work and the adorable alpacas. We really felt like we were in the Australian bush with the perfect sunsets. Highly recommend

All the reviews were true!

I chose Loddon Retreat as it was large house and would cater for my siblings given it had five bedrooms. I also liked the rural aspect. I celebrated my 70th birthday on the weekend we spent there. The large dining table was perfect for our dinner. The house has 3 living areas if you include the covered outdoor area - we used all three areas which was perfect. Also the bed linen was lovely to sleep in. We all loved the house and were sad to leave!

Beautiful space w beds that let us down

Had a wonderful time and the idyllic property however 2 of the queen beds were so uncomfortable we have left exhausted! Such a shame but otherwise the property was great and very cosey, huge too!

72nd birthday

We had a wonderful time. The interior of the house is just wonderful. Beautifully clean and appointed with every appliance you could need provided . The outside of residence could have been better with lawn area and garden not up to standard shown in photos on web site. BBQ also dirty and had to be cleaned before use. Alpacas were the highlight for my grandchildren.
