Great location, lots of room, great deck and hot tub to enjoy a glass of wine and see the sunset, the dock was great for the kids to fish off of loved catching and releasing Seeing an otter and a huge turtle
We had a wonderful time at this house/cottage! We love the huge kitchen and were able to eat and play games! And it’s so nice having everything on the main level. The hot tub is so nice and was clean and hot! Thank you for the great stay! This was our second time staying here.
We had a great vacation.
Kids loved fishing off the dock and playing on the large deck.
We loved fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and playing games in the evening. The property is very comfortable and spacious there was 11 of us and still room for more. Loved it. We will definitely be back.
We had a fantastic stay. We had 6 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. Great location to local ski hills and the lake behind was frozen and some neighbours had created an outdoor rink. Chris was a fantastic host and very responsive if we had any questions. Would definitely come back again. It was a wonderful winter getaway and the place looks just as great for the summer!
Really great house .lots of comfortable beds and good amenities. Definitely would recommend. Lots of room allowing private time. Huge deck looking out to a beautiful lake view. Games room was a hit, and large kitchen to cook and enjoy a meal. Would be happy to recommend for that large group as it has so much room. Loved it..
My family and I enjoyed this home and property, great spaces for all ages. Back yard was great for baseball and football. We enjoyed the little beach area beside the dock and my grandchildren enjoyed the kiddy toys. Loved getting out in the canoe and kayaks. Party garage was great for us so we wouldnt keep the littles ones up while adults had a chance to visit and laugh. BBQ needs adjustment, its either low or high no inbetween. Cookware needs updating as teflon is all scratched. Its a very quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours.
What a great place for our 3 generation family Thanksgiving Celebration The cottage was super clean and very well equipped to make our Turkey feast and very cozy even though there is tons of space to spread out The party cave was great for the “middle” generation to have beers and play cards while the old and young went to bed early We are already talking about booking for next year Thank you so much Chris
We had the best time at Chris’ property. The house was tidy, had all the supplies you could need and lots of seating for our group of 8. Chris was quick to respond to any questions and all instructions for the property were clear. The “party cave” was a great place to hang out in at night and the two hot tubs were well maintained and clean. Beautiful view of the water off the back deck. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back.
Great vacation time with my family. House is clean and bigger than expected. Everything looked as advertised. Internet speed was slow one day maybe due to weather. Game area and chairs around bonfire requires cleaning improvement. Overall 4.3 over 5 stars
House was beautiful as well was the location. Only complaint was the patio area wasnt cleaned from prior visitors there were bottle caps on the deck all over and hot dog wieners were still in the bbq cooked. As well toilet seat was broken in the man cave and wiring was disconnected in the steep. I fixed both items for them. Other then that wonderful stay!!!
Our extended family of 11 had a marvellous time together at this property (ages 1 to 91!). Many things about the property were great for the very young and the not so young (level lot, not many stairs and the baby gates and kid’s play room were a bonus). We would liked to have gone swimming but it was too weedy. So the hot tubs were enjoyed even more. Our fisherman of the family caught a lovely 5 pound large mouth bass! We did get out onto the water using the canoe provided but also rented a pontoon boat from Rogue Marine Rentals. We traversed the Big Chute Marine Railway in the pontoon boat and that was a fantastic experience. Even driving to the Big Chute and watching the boats transfer on it is well worth the short drive. A wonderful time had by all.
This is a very comfortable spacious cottage with all the amenities! Our family of 10 ( ranging in age from 2 - 70) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is a playroom in the basement which the kids enjoyed and two living areas to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an additional frig in the party cave for drinks, ice etc. The outside deck is large with a gazebo for shade, a BBQ, and the hot tub is an added bonus. Campfires were enjoyed in the evening in the large lawn overlooking the lake. The only downside was the water in bay. We were there at the end of August, and the water was very weedy so we could not go swimming. However the canoe and kayaks allowed us to enjoy some water activities. There is a great public beach about 5 minutes away with a playground, splash pad, washrooms, picnic tables. There is a charge for parking. The cottage is a wonderful
spot for a family gathering and would certainly recommend it! Communication with the host was always prompt.
been trying for 2 wks to get a reply from vbro re being charged twice for hst - also 3 tv - none working - commnicated with owner and still did not get reception - also a new toaster would be good addition - never use vhro again - exasperating experience - vbro customer service is hopeless regarding hst situation - all i get is it is -being expediated - should be a simple fix - hst in in ontario is13 percent - not twice as much and a refund on my visa a.s.a.p. would be appreciated, and i will not give up calling them until I get it

That is very strange. All of that is automatic and completely out of our control. If there is anything we can do please let me know.
Incredible experience, full equipped kitchen, perfectly clean washrooms and bedrooms, and one the coziest living rooms in the entire Muskoka area. A beautiful view of the frozen lake in winter and a couple of paths to enjoy if you like the snow. Definitely a repeatable experience!
We had an awesome time at Chris’ cottage during Christmas week. It's a perfect place for families with kids, as both the adults and kids have their own private space. We enjoyed the party cave so much for dancing and playing games.
Everything was exactly as described. Communication with Chris was very easy and fast throughout our stay. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing winter getaway. Highly recommended!

My best friend and I decided to buy a place for our two families as soon as we were able. We have been friends for almost 30 years and work together as well. We do everything together and this is no exception. When we bought the place we completely renovated the basement together and added as many fun things to the place as we can. Unfortunately we can't be there all the time. We prefer someone always being there so we decided to rent it out when we can't be there. Both of our families love this place and we hope yours does too.
Why they chose this property
This is a unique property. First, it is only 1 1/2 hrs from Toronto, but looks and feels exactly like a cottage should. It is a wonderful house that can sleep up to 12 people and has a comfort that you can just sink into. It is a lake front property with a dock and a boat launch. We have a sandy beach area to play on or lay in the sun. It is a bay and can be weedy, but still great for the kids or even adults to space in the water. There is a hot tub that is open March to November right in the deck. Relax at night staring up at the stars. There is a separate garage that is fixed up to be a "party cave". It is equipped with a bluetooth sound system, TV, video games, darts and a basketball game. With the doors closed, blast the music without worry about waking the kids or disturbing the neighbours. It has a wood fireplace that just give the best ambiance and is the one place you could feel free to smoke. It have ventilations and easily maintained. It has a kitchenette area with a washroom. No need to go in the house, Keep your drinks in one of the two fridges and dance the night away. We have!
What makes this property unique
Lake front, close to the city, store availability, 2 LCBO's, public parks, public beach, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and tons more.
