Mountain Escape

Beautiful property! Absolutely stunning views and worth the more "off road" way to the cabin. Host was very responsive and helpful in locating the property prior to check-in. Every night we watched the sunset and soaked it all in. Hope to return in the future!

Excellent Getaway!

We had a great weekend getaway at this cabin. It’s fairly close to the Royal Gorge, which we visited on Saturday. The cabin has WiFi that works great since there is no service in the area. It comes stocked with everything you’d need. The owner is very nice as well and ensured we were comfortable during our stay. Would stay here again!

Stayed here with two friends for a fun, peaceful weekend. We hiked, stood under the eaves with our drinks when it rained and looked at the scenery, and spent a memorable Saturday night around the firepit. Two fawns ran by with their mother one morning, and we took a drive to the Arkansas to watch the water and the rafters go by. They say nature is healing and so is laughter, a great cabin and a helpful, friendly, fun owner. We loved it!

Magnificent Mountain Views

The cabin was cozy and well stocked with everything you need. It was nice to sit out on the deck to have morning coffee or in the evenings to watch the sunset. The fire-pit and grill were a bonus. You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin. The host was kind and available when needed.

Excellent place with excellent hosts

This place was perfect! The property is in a more secluded area that gives you the beauty and peace of the mountains away from all the crowds, but also is close enough to several bigger towns with things to do. The property was exactly as described and honestly was even better than the pictures. Debbie and Keith (the hosts) were absolutely wonderful! They were quick to respond, helping out with every little need I had in a timely manner. They truly went above and beyond in every way and were the best VRBO hosts I’ve ever interacted with so far! I literally cannot say enough good about them and their little cozy cabin! I would definitely visit this area again!

Fantastic cabin in a beautiful location!

This was the best VRBO experience me and my family have had. The cabin was well-appointed in the kitchen and had above and beyond the typical kind and amount of toiletries so once you had your groceries you could really stay in and enjoy the beautiful surroundings! It was also very clean and had lots of games and movies to enjoy. The hostess (Debbie) is very kind, helpful, and communicative. She was available if we had any questions and she anticipated our every need. We had so much fun that no one wanted to leave. The wildlife and the views in the day and the night were outstanding. I highly recommend choosing this cabin for your mountain getaway! ❤️

Couldn't Have Loved It More!!!

This was my first time to Colorado, and staying here made it worth the trip! The cabin is filled with rustic charm, maintaining a lot of the original features from when it was built, but also having modern features to make the stay super comfy. The kitchen has everything you need, the main level bed was great to sleep in, and everything was clean and organized.Debbie, one of the owners, was an absolute gem and such a pleasure to chat with. I was traveling solo and she made sure that I was safe at all times, and she also gave so many excellent recommendations for shopping and activities in the nearby cities. Because of Debbie, I had an unforgettable experience on Skyline Drive and did a lot of really fun things in Canon City. She is an exceptional host and was so communicative, warm, and friendly! I miss the cabin already and I wish I was back on that deck as we speak! Thank you Debbie for sharing this magical cabin with us travelers. It was a pleasure!
Gorgeous view of the mountains from the road just a short way outside of the property. I came here many times to admire it all.
View from the front deck of the cabin. An incredible way to enjoy the mornings. Relaxing out here and getting to watch the variety of hummingbirds and birds in the area was an added bonus!
So many neat formations on the property.
I loved all the rocks and trees and cacti at the cabin. It was fun to explore around!

Wonderfully quiet get away

We loved this place and the quiet vistas. The space had everything you needed to enjoy the outdoors and indoors. Games, naturalist pocket books for stars and animals, brochures, quilts, every kitchen gadget you can think of, a pellet stove, an outdoor gas grill and fire pit, so many items to make it comfortable. If you stay here, a game we did was counting the number of bears, moose, and the word "cabin" you could find in the decor. We found over 80 bears. It was dry when we visited, though we could see how one would need 4x4 in the winter or wet/mud season. There is zero cellular in the area, which we wanted but it was nice that the wifi was strong with consistent connection on wifi calling when our pet sitter called with questions. Not knowing that there were cameras before hand (not in listing) was a little off putting when we were told in the text message checkin instructions. Thankfully, they were positioned only to view the barn and driveway. We will definitely be returning to this cabin!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT STARGAZING!

Debbie was an incredible host! She was quick to answer phone calls, texts, and emails and extremely accommodating to changes. She made the process absolutely stress free. At night there was not a single light to be seen from the back porch nor a single sound to heard other than one cricket. It is one of the few places of radical beauty, silence, and darkness left. The view of the night sky from the porch cannot be beat. We saw the Milky Way, shooting stars every 10 minutes, the planets, and the most stars we have seen in our lives. The deck is wide enough where you can lay out a sleeping bag and just watch the cosmic drama all night with an unobstructed view of the darkest sky. It was like renting a planetarium. The inside of the house was nice too. Tons of blankets and everything you need.

PERFECT is the only word!! Beyond your wildest DREAMS!!

They say there is nothing ever really perfect, Well I have to say that is a lie. Because PERFECT is the only word I know that can describe this PERFECT place. It was more than my husband and I could have expected. The Host contacted me before arrival and gave me detailed directions (which by the way is needed) and she made sure we had all the information we needed before arrival. Who does that??? Right!! Only the Best Host Ever. She was available to me my entire stay if I needed anything. She gave me wonderful places to see and explore. They honestly made me/us feel apart of their family, even thou we never physically met them. What this PERFECT place has to offer truly shows the heart of the HOST. I am already trying to make plans to book this place again!!

Simply Perfect

The cabin was perfect! We enjoyed day trips east and west of this central location. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. A lot of thought has been put into providing much more than the basic necessities. The deck was an awesome place to relax in the evening and watch the wildlife. You’ll Never Want to Leave

This adorable cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Remote neighborhood with great views from the wrap around porch. It’s location is perfectly placed for a nice scenic drive into either nearby Salida or Cañon City for lunch or dinner. We loved playing MarioKart on the WiiU! The owners are absolutely wonderful and have the cabin fully stocked with the little things you might’ve forgotten at home. Beautiful location, beautiful drive!
