Thanksgiving Weekend
It was amazing from the time we booked this cottage until the time we came back to reality 🙂. Dave was very helpful especially in updating us about the road condition (during the time of road repair) which gave us an opportunity to amend our preparations. We love the huge kitchen space, the long table, the baths, it’s proximity to the water, and everything about this cottage: it was just stunning and spectacular!! We can’t wait to secure our next adventure to this cottage. Thank you Dave and to the management. Stay safe everyone.

Perfect getaway in a beautiful cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful property. The cottage is lovely and has every amenity you could possibly need. Definitely felt like a home away from home. We spent a lot of time in the water, swimming and paddle boarding. The wall to wall screens leading to the deck allowed us to enjoy the outside while having dinner in the dining room or chatting in the living room. The owners really have thought of everything. A beautiful place to enjoy time with family.

A True Muskoka Getaway
What a treat this cottage was! We really enjoyed the various water activities. The shallow bay and dock area is perfect for the young kids to swim in while the adults watch on and relax (or join in with them)! The cottage is one of the most well equipped we have seen. The large kitchen makes dinner prep with various adults a breeze with lots of space to store your groceries, various appliances and a full fridge/freezer. There are numerous bath and beach towels to go around for everyone! The laundry facilities were well used. The space was perfect for us. The 2 bedroom walkout basement with a bathroom is great for a family of 4. The kids were so excited for the bunk beds, but we recommend bringing a portable bunk bed rail for the top bunk if your kids are still a little young and prone to rolling around. Upstairs, a beautiful and large master ensuite awaits you. Need to work remotely? The master loft is the perfect spot for it, with views of the lake and spacious desk. The small and cozy queen room is great for a couple, with extra space in the main loft. Parts of the cottage can get quite warm and stuffy during the hot/humid days, but thankfully we had mostly cooler nights to cool it down and a breeze off the lake. The ceiling fans do a pretty good job, but we needed to borrow the portable fan from the master for the queen room. The sunsets are beautiful! The glow off the lake into the cottage makes for relaxing evenings. :) The ambiance is nothing but enjoyable. For those wishing to dock a boat, having an experienced driver around shallow and rocky areas makes getting around the small lake easy and relaxing. We anchored down in various spots away from other boats and cottages and allowed the kids to fish and jump off the boat and swim which they absolutely loved. Be sure to check for rocky areas! Since it being a smaller/quiter lake, there was little boat traffic, great for those wanting to cruise around on canoes paddle baords, kayaks etc. The winds and gusts on the lake can become quite strong on windy days, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out on smaller watercraft. Bracebridge and surrounding areas are well within reach if you need to go into town for groceries or want to wander into the little shops! Dave was excellent, flexible and checked in to make sure we were settled in okay. Thank you for opening your cottage to us. We had a wonderful week and we were sad to say goodbye! Highly recommended!

About the host

Welcome to our cottage. Four generations have been relaxing at this location since the 60's. Our family moved West many years ago and have recently been able to use the cottage in the summers. In 2019 the old cottage was taken down and replaced with a modern version of it. Some of the 1980 cottage is built-in into the new version.

Why they chose this property

This property is very unique due to several factors. It faces West and captures the best sunsets. Our neighbours' cottages are more than 150ft away from our cottage. We are hidden well from the lake and our bay is small with some rock outcroppings that keep most boaters away. The property is relatively flat and there is a boardwalk from the dock right to the cottage steps with no steps. All steps, docks, boardwalks, and decks are low-lit at night allowing you to navigate without disrupting the lake.

What makes this property unique

Quiet. West facing.

There are 170 acres of land behind the 1.5acre cottage parcel. Guest are free to hike through this property. There are several stone foundations and walls from the 1800s hidden back there. Look at the cottage manual for co-ordinates to visit the backwoods.
