Great location- walk to shopping, restaurants, and waterfront. The pool was a huge hit with the grandkids and the people watching from the front porch. We loved our stay and hope to return.
This is our second stay at this lovely location. The property was clean and decor inviting. We do suggest they replace the doorwall vertical blinds. We would come again.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The condo is gorgeous and has everything. The kitchen is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The private pool is great and the balcony in front gives you wonderful views of the water and town. Southport is a beautiful small town and would recommend staying there.
Located in the heart of the historic district making for easy walking . Could see the Cape Fear River from the covered porch making afternoon relaxation before dinner even more enjoyable! Did not use the pool but am sure others have.
The property was clean and exactly as listed. Enjoyed the use of the pool as well as the location to shopping and restaurants. It could use a new skimmer for pool to clean it.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience visiting Southport and staying in this rental unit. We plan to visit Southport again and would love to stay in the same place if it’s available.

This was just a weekend getaway for me and my grandson prior to school starting. We had a wonderful time. This place is perfect....clean, soothing colors, great pool, and excellent location. Also, Southport has Wilmington beat in the seafood department. We are already planning a return visit next June. Can not say enough about how nice this place is.
This property was so clean, spacious, and comfortable. The property manager was very helpful and prompt with any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again. The location can not be beat! You can walk to historic sites, the water, restaurants, bars, etc. The pool is a nice perk also. Too cold for us to use on our visit, but in the summer it would be nice.

Great place in the heart of Southport
My wife and I enjoyed staying here because of the proximity to restaurants. Everything was an easy walk in any direction. I was concerned parking would be an issue but I never had a problem getting a spot on the same block. The drive to the beach on Oak Island was easy and public parking wasn’t an issue there.

Perfect Location
The place was spotless. The modern kitchen was easy to work in. Very comfortable furniture and the pool and the balcony were great assets. The location was perfect as you can walk to all the restaurants and shops and exploring the nearby streets to see the beautiful old homes was wonderful. We had a great time and we highly recommend the place as long as you do not have an issue the stairs
Had a wonderful stay. Everything was as described. We enjoyed the upper porch people watching. We didn’t use the pool. I never got confirmation that it was open for use; however the weather wasn’t good for pool use. We will definitely stay here again.
Convenient downtown Southport location. Plenty of pros to this as-described property and the only con is the no dedicated parking which was expected but even that wasn't too much of an issue. Also access information is provided via a 3rd party rather than the vrbo app. Property was clean, quiet and safe. Patio view of downtown was a treat. Within walking distance of so many restaurants. Just be sure to bring your own pool towels!
Location is perfect! Walking distance to so many places. The rental is very spacious and was perfect for us. We didn't cook any meals so we can't attest to kitchen needs. My only complaint was the pool hadn't been cleaned prior to our stay and it would have been nice to have lounge chairs by the pool. Also, maybe get some lighting by the pool for night time swims.
The location is perfect. Short walk from marina since we traveled by boat. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping and waterfront. So nice to have the pool when the temp hit 97 degrees. But just the clarify, the "sleeper sofas" were love seats that recline, not pull out couches and not futons. We had two teenagers that liked it and two that couldn't get comfortable in that position. Fortunately they had a blowup mattress in a closet that saved the trip. The balcony over the street was great also. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall this is a nice place but I can’t give it 5 stars. The pool was too dirty for us to use and there wasn’t anything available for us to clean it ourselves. There was leaves and debris both all over the bottom of the pool and floating on top. It was really hot and we were looking forward to being able to use it so that was disappointing. The inside was nice and fairly comfortable. One side of one of the reclining sofas would not recline. Beds were comfortable. Balcony was the best feature with view of the water and town. We were supposed to be there Friday night through Monday morning but left Sunday. My wife slipped in the tub and broke her shoulder. It’s a wide, deep tub and has nothing to grab onto on the walls and the floor of it is slippery. I emailed the “guest contact” Evolve provided (actual property listing company) Sunday morning to let her know what happened after a terrifying night and spending all night in the local ER. It’s now Tuesday and I’ve had no response. I’m sad, because I did like the location and balcony but our trip was ruined. We were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday, too. Disappointed to say the least.

Great location, Well appointed Condo, minor issues
The location is primo for Southport. The refurbished 2nd floor Condo is beautifully done. Pay attention to the disclaimers: there are 15 steps to climb or descend each time you come and go. The vertical blinds were missing several slates, (no way to have privacy after dark), the back of one of the love seats was broken, the front load washer gave off a condo-wide odor, the towels are thin, and the door was unlocked and slightly ajar when we arrived. We knew the private pool was listed as closed during the off season, but we didn’t expect the swampy mess in the back outdoor space (not inviting at all). And the propane tank for the very small fire pit was empty. (It’s not really a fire pit) I sent these observations to the contact manager via email but haven’t gotten a response. The email may be lost. All in, this property costs us just under $360 a night. For that kind of money, you have to pay attention to the small things. The great location and newly furnished space helped us have grace for the small infractions.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Great location for shorter duration stay
We loved how this property was situated as it is VERY convenient to all restaurants and historic Southport waterfront. We were able to walk nearly everywhere! We’ve rated the stay based on a few things that should be improved when comparing to the description of the apartment. For example, a few kitchen basics such as a paring knife for slicing fruit or veggies and other utensils would be helpful. A coffee maker in addition to just the single serve Keurig if more than one coffee drinker in the group. Also, the bed in the master bedroom could use a new memory foam topper and new sheets. The master bedsheets provided had several small holes in them and seemed very worn. For these reasons we would only consider a few days’ stay, not a full week. We really enjoyed the balcony view but were disappointed that the small gas operated fire pit wasn’t equipped with a gas canister for operation. If it isn’t functional then it shouldn’t be mentioned in the property description as a feature. Lastly, the pool area is in need of cleaning up. By late April, even if the pool isn’t open for the season, it should at least be covered so the view from the master bedroom window is nicer. Although the temperatures were in the upper 70’s, the pool wasn’t available for use. When paying the nightly rate charged, these things make a big difference. All in all we love Southport-Oak Island area and visit regularly. If we decide to return to this property we would want to see these improvements.
