Main Level Eat-In Kitchen for 6 with lake view, double oven, electric stove top, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. Fully stocked with all dishes required to make a gourmet meal or eat take out on glass dinnerware. Open to screened porch and main deck (access to lower deck & lake) with gas grill, chaise lounge, patio table/umbrella (place setting for 6). Adjacent also to family room and dining room (place setting for 6). Main Level Laundry Facilities.

2 Main Level Living Areas--one lake view with large TV/DVD/Cable, radio, gas fireplace and access to main level deck; second "quiet" living area with view of woods and shaded perfectly for afternoon naps. Lots of extra room in both for extra sleeping in sleeping bags or on blow up mattresses; can be closed off for privacy.

Master suite: on main level with king size bed, balcony with seating to lake view, DVD & Cable TV, ensuite has separate vanity area from bathroom.

2 Main Level Bedrooms: one king size bed with DVD available; 2 twin beds in second bedroom.

Lower Level Living Area with lake view, full kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, 2 burner gas range, 2 burner electric range, oven), gas fireplace, large TV with DVD/VHS/Satellite/Wii, sleeping for 3 (futon sofa/futon chair) with room to spare, small game table for 4, array of DVD, VHS, Wii games available, all open to lower deck with eating for 4, HOT TUB, and access to the lake.

2 Lower Level Bedrooms: one queen size bed; kids' room with bunk bed and full fold out couch with VHS available

Concrete pad, parking for 6+ vehicles, large covered front porch with wooded view, all on 2 acres. 2-story deep water boat house with upper level sun deck and seating. Slips for boat/jet ski parking. Sandy beach-front area. Fire pit with seating nestled in the woods by lake. Some outdoor athletic equipment provided.

We had a great time at Blue Heron! Monte and Wanda provided every amenity we could need or want. The house is spacious and beautiful, and the lake area with beach is perfect! Great place for our family of 11!

We enjoyed this home, we spent our days down by the water kayaking, relaxing in our floats, the kids could go out to the water from the beach area and fish off the dock. The owner kept in touch making sure we had a great stay. We hope to return year after next (we have a family trip to Ireland next year.) This is a great place to stay!

Great Place for Families

This was a great house for a large group. We had 3 families vacation together and there was plenty of space to accommodate everyone! The location is quiet with the cove that was perfect for the kids to swim, fish and play in. Lots of memories created and looking forward to creating many more!

Wonderful, spacious property. Plenty of room for my entire family. Loved all the decks on the back of the house. It was nice and clean when we got there. We enjoyed using the hot tub. Communication with the owner was excellent. He answered every question we had and made the trip perfect.

Large lovely home in short cove off main lake

We had a wonderful week at this large home with plenty of space for all to spread out, fully stocked kitchen, great double decker boathouse with beach and kayaks, and comfortable beds and furniture. The screened-in porch was an added plus. It's on a short cove within a kayak ride of the main lake...perfect! Monte was available whenever we had a question...the most responsive host we've had; thank you! Highly recommend this property. Felt like home.

Great House - Great Location

This house works very well for large groups with 2 full kitchens and many bedrooms. The owner was awesome communicating before our visit and really easy to reach when we needed to find something! The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Great boat dock in a small cove right off the main lake. I would highly recommend this house.

Fantastic home, in a quiet place on the lake, offering a fun and relaxing stay

I'm not sure you could find a better experience on the lake than the Blue Heron! There is way more room here than you will need for your large family getaway. The house has a wonderful walk-in beach, an astounding main-lake cover dock which is great for fishing, a hot tub for relaxing, fire pit for roasting your marshmallows and peace and quiet like nowhere else on the lake. The house is fully stocked with all the appliances, utensils and dishes you could want.

Family Yearly Week at Lake Gaston

Our two son's and our four grandson's had a great week at the lake. One of our daughter-in-law was able to join us the last two days. We mainly went tubing, boat riding, fishing, swimming, grilling, and played board games. We enjoyed a meal at the WatersView restaurant as well as takeout from Lake Gaston Pizza and Pino's Pizza & Restuarant. We have stayed several years at the Blue Heron and have enjoyed each visit. It is a great place with the right accomodations for our family.

Family Vacation at Lake Gaston

We couldn't have picked a better home for our first trip to Lake Gaston. The Blue Heron is perfect for large groups with kids and was one of the cleanest and well stocked rentals my family has ever stayed at. We enjoyed the large kitchen and spacious living areas for our group of 12 to spread out. The kids especially appreciated all of the games, toys, and floats that came with the house. The weather was exceptionally hot, so we basically lived in the water all week, swimming and floating from the dock and beach for hours on end. The owner is very responsive and ensured we had a smooth (and early!) check-in.

The location was perfect, a quiet little piece of heaven with its own private mini beach, yet still connected to the main lake. With the mini beach, boat house, multitude of decks and screened in porch, Kayaks/SPB, hot tub, and closet full of toys for the littles, there was something for everyone. The multiple kitchens, dining areas, and spacious living rooms made it easy for us to share this space with friends/family without feeling like we were on top of each other the whole time! Awesome Family Vacation Spot

We had the best time during our week long stay at the Blue Heron celebrating our son’s high school graduation with all of the grandparents. So many memories made! We did not want to leave. The place is very clean, comfortable and nice and roomy. It is at a great location. Our dogs loved swimming at the beach and we loved hanging out at the boat dock. We felt right at home and anything we forgot to bring we found supplied at the house by Monty and Wanda. They are great hosts and provide a stress free stay. Highly recommend!
