Welcome to Slopeside in Hidden Valley!!! Our Chalet is nestled on an elevated forested property across the street from the Hidden Valley Ski Hill. It offers a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom newly renovated and furnished space that is ideal for couples and families alike. The location offers many activities for all seasons such as hiking, skiing, ice skating, water sports, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, or just relaxing! Private beach access on Peninsula Lake is included which has beach volley ball, picnic area and shallow entry swimming. Ski lifts and hills right across the street. Mountain biking trails across the street in the warmer months. Thirty minute drive to famous Algonquin Park for canoeing, hiking, stargazing and wildlife abound. Ten minutes to Arrowhead Provincial Park which has the longest winter skating trail in Ontario, beautiful hiking trails and beaches. Limberlost Forest is a quick 15 minute drive for more solitude and hiking trails. Seven minutes to Downtown Huntsville for groceries and all the restaurants and shops on the quaint Main Street. World renowned Grandview Golf Course by Clublink and Deerhurst Golf Course and Resort are under a 5 minute drive away!

Alex was incredibly responsive, within minutes was able to help us with our questions upon arrival. What a great place to stay with kids who ski. The proximity to the hill was so great, the kids could walk across with their skis and really got the most out of being up on the hills. The place is well kept, clean and has everything you could need. Will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I and our adult children and partners stayed the weekend to attend my niece’s wedding at the ski chalet this fall. The house was very clean comfortable and well appointed. Beds and linens were of high quality. Showers had great water pressure and lots of hot water. The hot tub was clean and we had fun using it. Everything worked. Host was easy to reach in responsive. We had 7 guests and seating for dining table would be tight for more than 6.

Slope side retreat

This was our second time back to Slope Side. We felt like it was more… the relaxed cozy atmosphere is exactly what we LOVE ❤️ The layout is perfect.The view is spectacular. Our teen boys live the hot tub. This has become our Huntsville hideaway 😍

Amazing home from home cottage

Communication and information from Alex was great from start to finish. The cottage was spotless fully kitted out kitchen and necessities and great layout as my daughter her partner and toddler had ground floor and privacy and we had upstairs. Location is great 10 mins walk or 3 min drive to small private beach perfect for young children. Only negative is you do need an all wheel drive to get up the driveway which is exceptionally steep and i would say anyone in their 60’s would struggle getting up the steep outside steps to house.. Overall a great property and location. Thanks Alex.

Thanks for the great review and 5 stars. Just want to clarify the location and age requirements you referenced. We have many 60 year olds and older that come to enjoy the hiking and other activities in the area. The stairs are newly constructed with a roof and automatic lighting. 19 steps lead to the top.

Location was ideal

Property was very clean. And comfortably furniture and bedding. Hot tub was a definite bonus after hitting the slopes. Ample kitchen space with a good amount of dishes. Plus bonus dishwasher. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay. It was easy access to ski hill. And lots of parking. The only flaw i would say is the amount of stairs to access the chalet. But Sara and Alex have made a convenient covered stair case making it better accessible. (Especially when wearing ski boots) the hosts were very accommodating and we look forward to booking again for next year.

Hidden Valley is has all the amenities of an urban neighbourhood yet we are 25 minutes from the entrance to the untouched wilderness of Algonquin park. We are also located in a great stop for hiking and water sports. The homeowners in Hidden Valley have access to a 400ft beach right on Peninsula Lake. With a volleyball court, picnic area and sand beach for guest to use. Fall and winter offers Skiing across the street. We are located 7 minutes from Huntsville that has everything from restaurants to Walmart.

What makes this property unique

The chalet is unique because it is built on an elevate and hardwood forested lot. It affords privacy from the road yet you're never far from anything. The private beach is 450 meters away by walking or you could drive through the neighbourhood and reach it in 4 minutes.
