Recently renovated and set in a large old Blue Mountains landmark property on one acre of gardens in Wentworth Falls, this apartment offers a stunning vista over southside Wentworth Falls and backs directly onto the Charles Darwin reserve and walk, yet is also only a leisurely 10 minute walk to the local village.
This is a fully separated apartment, spread out over 75sq m, including a bespoke, private 15sq m verandah to enjoy the vista. It`s a very liveable space with its full size kitchen ( incl full laundry ), bathroom and living area. It’s also wonderfully warm with a large split system aircon and lots of natural light.
With views from every window you will feel a world away, and set in a building that is large enough to guarantee a high level of privacy, it’s a genuine retreat without the resort level price tag.
Being really close to everything of relevance in the wonderful Blue Mountains district ( its only 2 mins drive off the highway ), means it is easy to access and enjoy the many walks, cafes and restaurants nearby and makes for a great base for explorations further afield. The nearby bush walks in Wentworth Falls really are among the most spectacular in the mountains and the Charles Darwin Walk can be directly accessed from the backyard of this property.
Fully equipped and totally self-catering with a self check-in procedure, everything is in place for a great home away from home experience or as many guests have used already, a great during the week work environment as well. Private off street parking & good WiFi ( fibre to the premises).
This apartment is located in the same property as the also listed Suenaga Suite and Haiku Hut in case you want to sync up your stay with another couple/s or friends.

Comfort was assured as soon as we stepped into our warm and spacious, homely, yet quirky, well equipped apartment. Somewhat eclectic: boho vintage lounges, high ceilings, Japanese inspired accents meets classic, all you could want in a bathroom including a nice deep bathtub, to light filled tastefully laid out retro modern kitchen with deck access overlooking the beautiful valley. All this comfort was reinforced by our open hearted caring host, Luke. It was nice to feel the energy, love and care put into origami apartment and the courtyard and garden surrounds. Thank you.

I am an owner builder, renovator with a history of successful holiday let properties here in the Blue mountains and on the South Coast of NSW. I enjoy having guests from all walks of life stay at this property as it is such a unique experience and a great place from which to enjoy what the Blue Mountains has to offer.

Why they chose this property

When me and my partner purchased this property we soon realized it was too large for just us so we have decided to let out parts of it for holiday stays.
Originally built as a large estate with stables called "Caringa" in 1910. Although hard to tell now, as the original estate was bricked over in the early 80`s, it was designed by renowned Architect George Sydney Jones ( son of retailer the famous David Jones ). After WW1 it became a respite hospital in 1919 "Shalvah" and then later a nursing home named "Grosvenor" from 1964 till closing in 1993 ( this name is still registered with Google maps and comes up when searching the address ).
With this sense of history it is a truly unique property and is located conveniently close to town with easy level access to a lovely street front for parking, yet it is also located in one of the quietest streets of Wentworth Falls, and being on a large block there are no neighbours immediately close by.
This apartment is located in what is and was always the best part of the building with stunning views over the Charles Darwin Reserve and beyond.
All this makes for a really pleasant and relaxing stay experience.

What makes this property unique

Comfortable, spacious, secluded, convenient = relaxation. Perfect getaway for a couple requiring a little less stress in their lives and more time for the good things in life. It`s also a little quirky and intriguing....
