About this property

Private room and ensuite

Private master bedroom with own ensuite and separate entrance. Situated in the heart of Bangalow, just minutes walk from markets, cafes, pub and shops in beautiful Bangalow village. Byron beaches and hinterland also within easy drive.

The spacious and light-filled room has a separate bathroom and private outdoor area for you to eat, sit and relax. There is a very comfortable double size bed with an addition single trundle bed supplied on request. There is also a comfortable double couch and a work desk with chair and lamp.

There are no shared areas. The room and back garden are locked off from the rest of the house for your privacy and security.

Please note that telephone reception in Bangalow is sometimes patchy. If you find there is insufficient reception, you can use Wifi calling, FaceTime or WhatsApp via our free wifi. Mobile reception is better in most parts of centre of the village.

Also, although separate, the room is a part of our house and there is always a possibility of minor noise as we carry out our daily routines. We do endeavour to keep noise to a minimum and a lot of the time you will not see or hear anyone else during your stay.

The mature garden surrounding the unit with birdsong and the occasional water dragon on the lawn gives a lovely feeling of a home away from home

Good value for money

The room was spacious, equipped with a double bed, desk, chair, couch, fridge, kettle, cups, glasses, and a hairdryer. I noticed previous reviews mentioned some items were missing, but the property now has everything. Great location—I would definitely recommend it.

Quant and quiet

The room I stayed in was very neat and tidy, Bungalow is a great area and very close to Byron. Only possible improvement I could see would be to add a microwave, but very neat, tidy, quiet and close to everything you need in Bungalow.

It smelled damp and I didn't feel any privacy.

The smell of humidity is quite strong, my partner was allergic because of this. We did not feel private, although the room has its own entrance, it has a door that leads to the house and you can hear when other people enter the house.

Weekend away

Lovely little room, sectiont off with own entrance as part of a private residence in Bangalow. Had all we needed, little Fridge, Microwave, a Kettle. Mugs, Glasses and Tea Spoons. Coffee, Tea, Sugar Honey and Milk was a nice litte touch. Towels were provided as well as Soaps. Communication with our Host Mark was easy and always prompt. We would stay again. Location is fabulous, its close to Byron Bay. Bangalow is a great little place with nice Boutiques, lovely Cafes and the Bangalow Hotel where we had Dinner, great efficient service and friendly Staff. The Butcher Baker Cafe was a favourite of ours. Beautiful little spot.

Disappointing experience in a beautiful part of NSW.

The property itself was OK, but STAYZ could not be contacted as the 6 digit code sent to chat to the owner would not work. There was no other way to contact "Mark" so we went to the local hotel and waited 3 hours until Mark found the piece of paper we'd left stuck to the front of the unit. Thankfully he found it as we'd starting to look for other accommodation. Not being able to speak to a person makes booking very difficult and adds an element of uncertainty. Certainly, we won't use STAYZ again. I would say that the minimum had been done to present the unit, and we have stayed in crisper units. Also, it could not be locked. The locals we spoke to at the hotel were very friendly and were also trying to find us accommodation, should we not be able to contact the host.

Run down and dirty shower.

Ther's nothing private or secure about this accomadation. The house behind has shared access and walks right by the kitchen window and the yard it sort of segregated by an unfinished cube structure. There is access to the road that way so providing a paddlock for the gate is a very false sense of security. He tells you he has left the room unlocked for you when in fact it CANNOT BE LOCKED! So don't leave your valuables in the room. The attached house is vacant. The yard's a mess with some piles of sticks and leaves, Okna (an invasive weed) and Tabacco bush which irritaes my skin if I brush up against it. Don't think the code provided is for you because you don't get access to that part of the house with a code. Only one bath towel and a hand towel. Only paper towel to dry the 1 cup and glass. The shower is DIRTY with mould in the grout and the scum build up is revolting! Both side sides of the glass weren't clean. The taps have water hammer banging and the plug doesn't work in the hand basin which has many cracks. The basin is slow to drain away. The the towel, sheets and doona cover are old. TV reception is very poor. WiFi was good. I know it's not listed but be aware the only electrical appliance is a jug.

Well located property close to local sites. Clean and well presented room with all you could need. Some difficulty identifying the exact property, so would be good to have a sign near the front to go to the back. Key box also hard to see the numbers for old eyes. But all in all well suited for the short stay for us

Mostly fine, however didn't feel very private. Owners had been in the room after check in (turning off lamps and closing windows) while I was out. Also quite noisy and people walking past the doors and windows regularly. TV also doesn't work and there is no aircon so was quite hot in the summer. Place was clean and tidy and reasonable location.

Was reasonably well presented and clean however taps screamed when turned on in the bathroom sink which was also had a number of cracks Milk left in the fridge was old and lumpy when opened Bed small but satisfactory but only a fan in the room. Aircon would be a great improvement For the price it was fair value just a few things to tidy up.
