Perfect property to enjoy family time by the campfire. Amazing views. Just enough amenities to make it comfortable but still feel like you’re in the woods. Only downside was the railing on the porch has massive gaps very dangerous for Our two and four year old sons.
We loved the cabin! Secluded and pet friendly. This was our dogs first vacation with us and they loved it as well. I think they were alittle sad to come back home. We will be looking forward to the time we can come back
Perfect mountain cabin. Great view of Twin Lakes from the large porch. Driveway was as described, we had no problem accessing in our 4x4 pickups.
We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a cabin in the mountains.
We had a great stay. The covered porch is the best part about the cabin. We enjoyed coffee and reading while listening to the rustling aspens and birds. The spot is secluded while being super close to town - we even walked to the general store. There is cabin is well stocked with dishes and supplies. The only issue was there were tons of ants around the kitchen and likely needs some regular treatment.
We were in the Twin Lakes area to attend a wedding. We found the cabin to be nicely remote. A great place to unwind after a busy day. The cabin was nicely appointed and stocked well with all the necessities. Views were great and we loved the proximity to the Continental Divide!
My wife and were very impressed with the scenery. The cabin itself had literally everything except groceries. The location is close to many activities and also a nice quiet place to just hang out for the day. Looking forward to going back soon.
This was the perfect location to get away from life. Mountain views everywhere, hiking, fishing, nature watching, and. relaxing on the property. The sounds of nature and flowing water just outside the door. The whole family enjoyed it so much we are all ready for a return trip next year.
We needed a place where our senior pups could explore new smells while avoiding all 4th of July fireworks. This cabin fit the bill! Our kids built a fort while we lounged on the porch enjoying the amazing views. We played games, made s’mores, grilled dinners, and explored the surrounding trails. If you want to unplug, this is the place to go!
It was exactly what we expected. We stay a lot up in the TWL PanArk area, and as this stay was more rustic, it was perfect, peaceful and quiet. We thought it would be even better if (3) large pine trees blocking a the view of TWL and mountain view were cut down. After all there are plenty of trees around that cabin, you could spare a few, and have more firewood : )But either way, we will stay there again.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It was an excellent basecamp for our family adventures. It was an easy place to entertain kids and our dog enjoyed all of the surrounding areas to explore. It has a beautiful view of Twin Lakes and the sound of a river just over the rise. It feels very remote, with no other houses in sight, but the town of Twin Lakes is less than a mile down the dirt road. The road was a little rough, but even our Chevy Volt was able to make it up without trouble. The hosts were very hospitable as well, having left a kind note with extra supplies and snacks for us!
Lovely home, great long deck with views of the lake and surrounding hills and changing aspens
This is a lovely and comfortable home with a fabulous long deck, great views of lake and surrounding mountains. The access road is dirt and the dirt driveway very steep as noted. There is a single space heater, and we had trouble getting the fireplace started, so recommend a couple more space heaters in bedrooms and bathroom. The creek nearby is a lovely background sound, excellent night skies, surrounded by changing aspens at this time of year.
We really enjoyed our stay, property is very secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. Driveway was a bit rough for my liking but we made it up and down ok. Check in/out was a breeze. Thanks!
Wonderful location although we were very sad the beaver pond was drained and the beavers gone. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen. We were surprised that the heating system was only the wood stove and one portable electric heater. Heated beds were nice though. John was an excellent house manager! No trash service which was unpleasant because we stayed 10 days and all trash had to stay inside. John did help with trash (not his job?). Driveway to house was bad so be prepared. We finally caught five small mice that were in the kitchen. A true cabin experience! We loved it but can’t afford the new higher rates for 2023.
Great cabin! Not super lux, but it had everything we needed for our family. No TV, but we played board games and had phone connectivity for teens. The view from the deck was amazing and the S'Mores were a hit.
John, our host, was responsive and there was good information about activities and hikes in the cabin binder. We can't wait to visit again!
Beautiful location. It was exactly the break we were looking for. Cabin had everything we needed. We liked watching the deer in the morning, using the walkie talkies on our walks, and listening to the creek as we fell asleep.
