The location is perfect for a visit to Hobart- tons of room in the house and plenty of space for a big family. Lovely property with gorgeous views- enjoyed many evenings sitting on the porch and enjoying the beautiful summer.
Had a great time with family over Xmas at this property, plenty of room and a great view.Peter was quick to respond to any questions we had and check in and out was a breeze.
Absolutely stunning property with a great and easy to communicate with property manager.
Stunning views from property and the wealth of rooms and beds, bathrooms worked amazingly well for our 6 party.
Amazing location and views!
Bathrooms did have a few cleanliness concerns - quite a bit of loose hair found on floor and some rubbish on floor in top bathroom.
All in all - house was great and thoroughly enjoyed our stay
We had a most wonderful stay with our group of 10. The host was very accommodating and let us check in early as well as check out later. We enjoyed our early morning routine watching the sun rise while sipping on hot coffee. Highly recommended.
A group of family members (12 people ranging from 13 to 75) had a magnificent stay here. Unbelievable views, great communication with owner/manager, very flexible in regards to check-in, check-out. All beds very comfortable, brilliant family dining experience, and the views of Hobart and Mount Wellington are to die for. Thank you so much, we will be back, Peter
Thanks to Peter for being an accomodating host, we enjoyed our time there.
This property has a great view of Mt Wellington, beautiful sunset. It’s just 15-20 mins from Hobart so pretty convenient.

Spacious home
The house is very spacious, bedding and beds were good. House seemed to be undergoing a renovation which was unknown before arriving. Cleanliness was not to standard especially kitchen. Generally tired furniture and not luxurious but served its purpose.

Self check in was good. Beds had tissues, rubbish, tablet blister packs behind several. Kitchen had coffee granules, beans, bugs on benches. Some dishes dirty. Cutlery Drawer was filthy. Sugar bowl filthy. Dead flowers in a vase. Rubbish , including a salt shaker behind couches. No bath mats ,face washers in each bathroom. We popped all crockery and cutlery through dishwasher before we could use tgem. Oven was filthy, with food particles and scraps in it. Curtains off runners, carpets stained, trip hazard mats throughout attempting to cover stains. Heating was adequate for cold Tassy. Contacted Peter who arrived to check our complaints and he tried to say things happen, his cleaners dont get enough time to completly clean!!! My advice is SACK the cleaners. Peter didnt even offer us a partial refund, instead he told us to look somewhere else. How the hell would we get 8 people somewhere else in 5 minute notice!!! Just be aware.

Response from VrboOwner on 24 Nov 2025
I was concerned to read your recent comments. At your request, I accommodated an early check-in by two hours at no additional charge. Upon arrival, your group inspected the property thoroughly, moving furniture such as couches and beds, and identified items such as a salt shaker and tissues that were not initially visible. You also sent photos highlighting stains on the carpet and expressed concerns about cleanliness.
I responded immediately and offered to have the cleaning team return to address your concerns. However, you declined further cleaning, citing your schedule, even though there was still time before your official check-in. You then requested a refund based on your observations, which I respectfully declined, as these issues are not typically apparent to regular cleaning staff and seem to require extensive searching to uncover.
Despite this, I did offer a full refund should you choose not to stay, but you declined and stated that you were happy with the property and found the rooms and beds comfortable and clean. You also mentioned your own experience as an Airbnb host.
I do not appreciate attempts to secure a free stay through such tactics and I reject the request for a refund to protect my integrity, as I believe the property met reasonable standards and I do not compensate guests in exchange for positive reviews.
