EARLY CHECK-IN: Unfortunately due to the increased practice of guests staying past check out & leaving the property in an untidy state we can no longer offer early check-in.

UNIQUE STYLE: This property is unique due to it's interior design which is a mix of Retro & Mid century modern. With custom wall murals and one of a kind artwork, this house is over the top to delight the senses. The accented achromatic colour scheme is a mixture of striking black & white with mixes of grey and the Hi-C blue accent colour provides a pop of colour.

PAPER TOWEL: We do not provide paper towel in the kitchen as this property practices eco-friendly initiatives.

SMOKING: There is no smoking inside the house. Ashtrays are available on the dining table on the deck. Do not smoke in front of the house.

COTS/TOYS/GAMES: Although kids/infants are welcome this property does not provide cots/toys/games, so if you require these items you will need to bring them with you.

FURNITURE UPDATES: Furniture and decor may vary from the pictures, as we continually rearrange and update to enhance the guest experience.

SISTER PROPERTY: Check out "Retro Chic Vibes, Tropical Pool & Prime Location" in Fortitude Valley Brisbane QLD, which opened in 2019. This has the similar & fun design to delight your senses.

HOUSE ACCESS: The whole house is accessible including the enclosed deck. Guests do not have access to the backyard (via the side gate) or the granny flat at the rear of the property as your host live on-site & we have our own access from Edgeworth St. Rest assured that you have total privacy during your stay.

PARKING: There is no undercover or off street parking. When parking near the property do not park in front of the neighbour's houses. When you park your car do not park on the grass, instead park by the side of the road. Continuous parking on the grass results in tyre track marks, dead grass and destruction of the lawn.
Other things to note

DISHWASHER USE: When the dishwasher is in use, this will interfere with the hot water of the shower. It is advised to use the glass cycle and not the eco cycle as this runs for 2.5hrs.

BATHROOM FLOOR: When the tile in the bathroom is wet it is very slippery. Use the bath mat provided when using the shower.

3RD BEDROOM: The 3rd bedroom is not attached to the main house and is a Private self contained Studio with kitchenette & bathroom/shower.
When the bathroom light is switched on the ceiling exhaust fan goes on and cause's a small vacuum in the room making the door harder to open.
There is no sink in the bathroom, however the sink is at the kitchenette. The wardrobes in the Studio are locked off to store household items: cleaning supplies/linen & equipment, maintenance tools, etc. Do not force these doors open.

ECO-FRIENDLY: This property practices eco-friendly initiatives & does not use single-use plastics. we provide a microfibre towel (instead of paper towel), soap/shampoo/conditioner are in pump pack bottles. We do not provide paper towel in the kitchen.

LINEN: All linen is line dried in the sun to minimise the large amount of energy required in using dryers. This helps protect the environment, if your towels are not as fluffy as you desire you may throw them in the dryer for 2 mins.

CESSNOCK: Cessnock is a country town which is quickly developing, however like any Australian suburb it still has it's share of the unemployed, homeless, drug addicted, youth, and criminals. Always be aware of your surroundings when walking home at night.

NEIGHBOURS & NOISE: The house is nestled closely between 2 x private residence and our neighbour's live in their properties permanently. Guests must be advised that they will hear lawn mowing, use of a whipper snipper, barking dogs, dirk bikes & general neighbourhood activities.

STORAGE: The wardrobe in the second bedroom has two sliding doors locked off to store household items: heaters, cleaning supplies & equipment, maintenance tools, etc. Also the locked door in the bathroom.

Stay

Its a nice home, in a good location. Close to everything in the cessnock region and wasnt too far from wineries etc. The only down side was the beds where not comfortable and the guest house/second house had some issues with the powerboard so majority of things didnt work unless directly plugged in separately.
