About this property

Pet friendly country retreat

Beautiful pet friendly country home with private pool and huge outdoor entertainment area. Located in the beautiful Macedon ranges close to the township of Daylesford, Kyneton, Trentham and Woodend . Fully stocked pantry, fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden and free range eggs from our chickens. (Free range means chickens roam freely.)
We are Pet Friendly, and we welcome well behaved pets with responsible pet owners Our yard is fully enclosed. Pets must be supervised at all times as our small hobby farm has livestock including horses, chickens and cats.
A livestock carer visits the property daily to care for the animals that are located at the rear of the property.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday - 10 excellent days relaxing and enjoying the house, pool, garden and surrounding areas. Melissa was a great host. Fresh bread, flowers & eggs on arrival were a lovely touch!

Fantastic holiday location!

This property is a truly wonderful place to stay. Our entire family loved it! Incredibly comfortable house, beautiful inside and out. The outdoor area with pool is magnificent. We just loved the horses and chooks being nearby too. It was a real treat. Melissa is a delight and has thought of everything to make it a really special place to relax in and enjoy. Even the dogs had a ball!

Great property

Property was great - nice clean house and great pool. The only downfall was that I wasn't advised that cats and chickens were roaming on the property - had to keep our dog inside the whole time as he doesn't like either of them! Wasn't very relaxing keeping a close eye on our dog the whole time.

Tranquillity & Sunsets

7 days of luxury, peace and tranquillity. Cooks dream kitchen with Smeg appliances, certainly was the 'home' away from home for our Christmas feast. Dog loved being able to be himself when harness was off. Chooks, Cats and Horses were just as relaxed, no interactions.

With over 20 years in the 5-star hospitality industry, I strive to provide a wonderful and relaxing space for my guests to enjoy. My love of animals made it extra important that my properties are pet friendly as I feel that pets are part of the family and shouldn't be left out of all the fun.
My children are all grown up and I travel the state now for work so this created the opportunity for me to be able to share my home with others.

Why they chose this property

This property is ideally located between the country villages of Woodend, Kyneton and Trentham and only 20 minutes to the Spa town of Daylesford. Wonderful restaurants, wineries, hikes, golf courses and farmers markets.
We have space and country feel without being too far from town and restaurants with the famous pig and whistle hotel 5 minutes down the road. In summer our outdoor area is a winner with our inground solar heated pool out Tv BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit.

What makes this property unique

You can bring your pet on holidays. We have a fully enclosed backyard and pets are welcome inside. We just ask that they are not left alone in the house unless they are crated and are kept on leads outside the yard as we have chickens cats and horses.
We do have facilities for horses (stables and yards) by arrangement for a small fee.
