Ideally located 500m from main beach, Tavern, cafe, playground, pickleball courts, walking trail; there is something for everyone.

Born from a desire for our two families to connect and our children to spend endless summers together, Dau Deulu is the perfect space for families and friends to come together to unwind, relax and catch up.

Dau Deulu is spread generously across two levels and sleeps 10 comfortably making it the perfect place for two families to take a much needed break together.

Upstairs:
Renovated at the beginning of 2023, the upstairs boasts stunning timber flooring throughout, modern new kitchen with induction cooktop and large, well-stocked step-in pantry and appliances like microwave, stovetop coffee maker and even bread maker.

This breezy, bright, open plan dining and living includes comfortable couches and a 55 inch smart TV - the perfect place to chill after a fun day at the beach. A large bookcase houses games and books for all ages where we happily encourage you to exchange in case you don’t quite make it to the end of the book!

Down the hall, enjoy two spacious queen rooms, one with front balcony access and work from home station, the other with sunny north facing orientation and room for a portacot for those with wee ones.

On this level, you’ll also find a brand new main bathroom with separate shower and bath is accessible to all with adjacent separate toilet.

Running the full width of the house, the front balcony offers ocean views between the trees and a place to sit and reflect or read quietly, away from the hustle of the kids.

Out the back, a sun-drenched deck awaits, with cushioned outdoor seating perfect for entertaining on those warm summer evenings.

Downstairs:
A large bunk room is kitted out with two bunks - one a double on the bottom and single on top and the other a single bunk with a pull-out trundle. You’ll also have access to another two mattresses should you need them. All up the room downstairs sleeps 6 comfortably and up to 8 guests if needed.

Another lounge with flat screen TV, vintage Wii console, table tennis and even more games and books make the perfect tween or teenage retreat.

A second bathroom including shower, separate toilet and washing machine is great for washing the sand off after a day at the beach.
A large fully enclosed backyard with BBQ makes the perfect blank canvas for the kids to play or for you to lie in the sun and have a nap.

Family Beach Getaway

A spacious stay with great access to the Cape Paterson beaches. The kids really enjoyed having their own room and play area connected - almost like their own little apartment - and there was plenty to keep them occupied. Loved the location and beach vibes - we'll be back!

We loved our stay at Dau Deulu. It had everything we needed for our family Christmas. The kitchen was lovely to work in, added bonus was the extra fridge downstairs that came in handy on Christmas Day. There was more than enough room for us 4 who stayed, and room enough for the 13 for Christmas lunch. The downstairs games/ movie/lounge room was another bonus. So many games, movies and a Wii. My “Big kids” had such fun. Having a front and back balcony was lovely too. There’s so much more space than the photos show. Beds very comfy. A very easy walk to the 1st surf, and not that much further to the Bay. Very close to the corner store and Tavern. The other little cafe and shops weren’t open during our stay. We will definitely stay again when visiting home. .

Why they chose this property

Located under 2 hours from Melbourne, Cape Paterson is a quiet seaside town at the ‘end of line.’ This means no through traffic and a safe place for kids to walk along the street to the beach and playgrounds. Offering a pub, general store, surf life saving club and cafe, and a stones throw from Wonthaggi’s supermarkets and restaurants, you’ll have the necessities needed for a beach break. With stunning beaches and rocky scapes, as well as the insta worthy and famous Cape Paterson Rockpool, you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Dau Deulu is a family friendly home with ample space for 2-3 families to relax and catch up. Two living spaces plus outdoor deck and all the games, puzzles and toys needed to kids entertained after a day at the beach.
