We had an absolutely amazing time at Qii Lodge. It was so peaceful and cozy in the cabin. The walk on the property was a lovely 20 minute amble through temperate rainforest. Thank you for such a lovely retreat!

We had a delightful weekend stay. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Heather was a fabulous host and there were lovely little touches that made our stay even more enjoyable.
We had a lovely stay here in the Otways ! Heather was a communicative and generous host, the gift basket left from her was lovely! The forest is magnificent and the tiny house was well stocked, cosy and delightful. The only issue me and my partner had was that there are three tiny houses in quite close proximity to each other, with the window of one being in close sight of both our window and the forest bath. When you go on the forest walk, you walk straight past the other houses front door. (I took a video of the proximity of the houses but I am unable to upload videos here unfortunately!)As the description talked a lot about "romantic package" "tranquility" "nature retreat" etc we did assume that we would have more privacy. The photos also do not show the proximity of the tiny houses to each other. The property is also quite close to a road, a quiet one nonetheless but still has cars coming once an hour or so. We did also find the road / farm across was doing noisy roadworks, which of course isn't the hosts fault, but did unfortunately impact our relaxation a bit ! I also could not find the large pool with the fish in it that is pictured on the listing, I believe it was close to the main house but I felt strange exploring around the main house as I assumed someone was staying there !We still had a wonderful time, but just wanted to be honest about our experience in case anyone reading reviews is after more of a private getaway with their partner or loved one!

Thankyou for your kind words and for taking time to write a review Lachie. I'm pleased that you had a lovely stay and enjoyed your amenities. I'm sorry do didn't feel your privacy was respected. I believe we discussed proximity of the tiny houses prior to you coming to stay. I ndicated they were"30-70 metres apart situated in a forest canopy and they also had blinds for extra privacy. When setting up multiply accommodations, to minimise destruction of flora an protected species and in order to follow sustainable practices we are restricted by legislative guidelines as to placement. As you say the rainforest is beautiful and I am privileged to be able to share a "title" within the Great Otway National Park" with my guests. The Walking circuit is 1.5km and has a "jurasic" feel; is an accredited Forest Therapy Trail and an evidenced based researched therapuetic modality; which exhibits some of Graeme Wilkie's OAM beautiful organic sculptures a long the way. The Billabong and Japanese Inspire Pavillion is approximately 70metres from Kokoro and a further 70metres from Qii House the Eco Lodge. The experience is also an exploration. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Their are also shared amenities, so at times you may see other guests along the way or at the Billabong. Often guests go on day trips to nearby attractions such as Lake Elizabeth, Erskine Waterfalls, Blanket Leaf Picnic Ground , Forest Brewery and Lorne. So you usually have some private time alone.
Everything about this stay was perfect. We left feeling serene and peaceful. Thank you so much for your beautiful space in the trees, Heather

We found our stay at Kokoro to be probably the best part of our trip to Melbourne. The outside bath was so lovely to soak in while listening to the sounds of the forrest. It was quite overcast and raining while we were there but it made it even better! If we ever return, we would absolutely stay here again.

True to its name, it is tiny, but very cosy. The surroundings are beautiful. I had a hot bath in the outdoor bath, looking up at the rainforest and reflecting on the fact that it was completely silent except for the sound of birds and wind - something that I had not experienced in all my life.
Heather is great with communication.
The house is really clean and lovely.
Beautiful location absolutely a hidden gem.
Highly recommended

Wonderful tiny house with beautiful surrounds. Heather was an amazing host who drove over an hour to help us out with an issue. Great location only 15-20 minutes away from Lorne town centre.
