In addition, when Independence Pass is open, take a meandering drive to Aspen and discover the wonders of Leadville and Buena Vista, offering year-round shopping, dining, and more.

For entertainment at home, unwind with a TV featuring cable and a DVD player, or indulge in nostalgic gaming with the Nintendo 64 console. If you seek a truly relaxing vacation, there's no better setting than the serene woods surrounding the cabin.

Please note that during the winter months, a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended when renting this home. While the streets are plowed, the road leading to the property can be steep and slick at times.

Book your stay at the Angell's Family Cabin today and embrace the perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and adventure.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home/cabin.

The Neighborhood:
There’s no end to the outdoor activities you can enjoy here, from mild scenic hikes to ultra-athletic pursuits, and we’re not limited by season. Head out on a fall colors bike ride, ski or snowshoe, go fly fishing, or climb the fourteeners! And as for the great indoors, we have plenty of restaurants, shops and historical attractions.

Getting Around:
Angell`s Retreat is a short drive to Twin Lakes Village, and about 20-30 minutes to downtown Leadville. Free off-street parking is included at the home, and nearby recreation is abundant! In the winter it is best to have four wheel drive and good tires. It is always manageable to get to the home, but we want to be transparent that in the winter the roads could be snow packed.

Quiet, Comfortable Retreat
My sisters and I have stayed at Angells Retreat multiple times for our sister’s hermit vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by the new furniture in the TV loft. The reclining couches were very comfortable and more user friendly with the addition of multiple side tables. We also enjoyed the new sheets. They were much softer than the old ones. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quiet stay that is cozy without being claustrophobic, this is the place to stay. The only disappointment was that the neighbor dog, Baron, did not visit us this time. He is the sweetest, bestest good boy and we missed seeing him.
