About this property
Waterfront Log Cabin at the shores of Mosque Lake!
Welcome to a space for peace, adventure, and joy. Discover North Frontenac Lodge in the heart of Ompah, under amazing starry skies, at the shores of Mosque Lake, surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Ontario’s crownland.
North Frontenac Lodge is a classic Canadian outdoor experience to be enjoyed at your own pace, without a rush. Our log cabins give a new meaning to simplicity, taking the concept to a higher level through a nature-inspired experience.
From paddling adventures, hikes, and fishing to reading a book and enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars, North Frontenac Lodge offers an experience away from a fast-paced, complicated life that encourages you to breathe and feel nature as it is meant to be.
Cedar Cabin will give you a 1940s classic Canadian experience. As a former rustic fishing lodge, this small but cozy space with a vaulted log ceiling and exposed log walls creates a relaxing environment with an outdoor deck right on the water, the perfect spot to enjoy the unique sunsets over Mosque Lake.
The cabin is equipped and ready with all necessities and essentials for a family getaway or a unique adventurous stay for those looking to unplug and relax. Cedar is a studio space -without a bedroom- that can host up to four people and includes a bunk bed and a convertible sleeper sofa. A deck with a fireplace, BBQ, kitchen, and more make Cedar a perfect place to enjoy the essence of nature.
Cedar Cabin includes a washroom with a toilet and sink. Shower facilities are available at the “Shower House,” shared with two other cabins.
Enjoy the best night sky in Ontario right beside the fire, either at your cabin, the firepit on the beach, or the common area, right in the centre of the property. There is two main access to the lake on both sides of the lodge. The back dock is perfect for diving, swimming, and fishing. The main dock is on the beach and gradually inclines into the water.
North Frontenac Lodge has a beautiful sense of community, and we’ve seen many guests leave as friends. Pets are always welcome to join your adventures at the lodge.
*Linens are available if you prefer not to bring your own for $30.
If your party is larger than two people and you require more sleeping space, we offer a newly renovated Bunkie that accommodates two more guests. Please let us know if you are interested in reserving the Fern Bunkie, available to all our guests for $75/night (including cleaning).
If you’re looking for a special place for a family/friend reunion, friends glamping trip or any other special occasion, and you want to consider renting the 4 Lodge cabins, please let us know; we can plan with you to ensure that whatever event is on your horizon has the perfect setting to make a lifetime memory.
-- What to do around the lodge?
Mosque Lake and Ompah offer many adventures and places to discover. Go out on a hike and explore the trails in the area. Go on a photographic adventure and try to capture the best wildlife shots around the lake. Take a SUP, a canoe, or a kayak -available for free for the guests- and explore the islands. And if you like to prepare fresh fish-based dishes, Mosque Lake has great trout and perch fishing.
If you like to follow the winter winds, take a pair of snowshoes available at the cabin, go across the lake, and have a winter picnic. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish!
*Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer.
*Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety.
*Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins.
* If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat.
*The 3 acre property is shared with 5 cabins at the Lodge. The waterfront, wood burning hot tub, water amenities (kayaks, canoes, pedal boat, SUPs, row boat) are shared with 5 cabins.

Why they chose this property
The natural beauty of Ompah, Ontario, on the tranquil Mosque
Lake was the idyllic setting for the Lodge. And the original 1940s fishing cabins still standing on the property offered a unique experience for guests that’s becoming harder and harder to
