We were there in July, so there were a lot of bugs inside the cabin. One of the toilet wasn't working properly and the door knob broke, but Dan, the owner was quick to respond and addressed it quickly. Overall a very good stay and great communication from owners.
My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time at this cabin. The area was completely remote and beautiful. The house was charming and had the exact vibes we were hoping for. We made so many great memories here :').
We were here the last weekend of October with our children and 5 grandchildren. Everything was well kept and clean. The host was very welcoming and helpful, willing to accommodate any of our needs. It was a lovely cabin that sits back in the woods on 40 acres and is about 20 minutes from Berkley Springs. The last 500 feet of road is a dirt road. The hot tub was clean and all ready to use and the kids really enjoyed it! The cabin was just what we were looking for and we all had a great time! The only recommendation we would make is to have more seating in the main or great room area. It would be great to have a loveseat along with the couch that is there, and maybe a comfy chair to make it more cozy. We moved furniture around so that there was more seating but put it back where it went before we left. Thank you!
The cabin was cute and we all enjoyed our stay. Check in was super easy and the property is quiet and beautiful. There were a few hiccups but the issues were addressed quickly. The fridge was a bit small for the capacity of the cabin, and hot water was a little tricky to figure out at first for us city slickers. We ran out of drinking water although it is easy to make a Be sure to bring your own cooking oil, condiments, coffee, etc.
If you're coming here for the privacy & seclusion you see in the pictures, you'll get it. We didn't walk around in the woods much, but it's legitimately got the feeling of a state park or something, and not too far from civilization if you need something. Everything of course was clean and easy. There were a bunch of touches that made the place feel more personal than a standard mass-produced type stay.
The property has a beautiful setting on a tranquil gorgeous mountain. Our family loved the birds and opportunity to hike this setting. Ages ranged from infant to pre-teen, parents, and grandparents. Something for all, tree swings and creeks, nice trail paths. The owner is a candy expert and the kids were invited to find the bowls throughout the artfully decorated cabin. Late night Uno matches followed ping pong. This natural retreat is uniquely charming, we all loved it.

Came for a relaxing weekend with a group of friends. We were really looking forward to spending a lot of time outside at the fire pit and using the hot tub (not pictured in the listing). The inside of the property was very clean, though the pictures are not reflective the current condition of the house and the outside. The "pit" is actually a small fire bowl. We moved it out of the high grass to the driveway for a more comfortable experience. Consider bringing your own chairs and firewood. The hot tub was not fully filled and not very clean when we arrived. The bed situation in the loft was a bit odd with the twin (pictured in the downstairs) and a queen matress on the floor. My group stays in the Berkeley Springs area every year for the past 6 years and this was our least favorite property. I cannot say enough about Evolve being supportive of some of our concerns. However, the host was a different story. Proceed with caution when booking this place as there are other properties in the area that are much nicer for a similar cost.

We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We’ve confirmed with our longtime housekeeper that the retreat was clean and well-prepared before your arrival, including all beds made and the property in overall good condition.
- The hot tub was in working order and clean when checked prior to your stay. The lower water level you encountered may have resulted from guest use.
- The deck was fully refurbished this spring, and while we do have potted plants outside, our housekeeper sweeps the area regularly to maintain cleanliness.
- Based on the overall condition of the home, we believe it was accurately represented and prepared.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay.
My hubby, dog, and I came for a short end-of-summer break getaway. The house is spacious yet very cozy and clean and stocked with everything you need. The separate studio was awesome! I am writing my dissertation so the Writer’s Studio was perfect for uninterrupted reading and writing. Hubby also used it for practicing some music. Our dog loved sniffing around and being able to run around off of his leash although I didn’t let him run too far because I was afraid of him running into country critters! Our host, Susan, was great; she was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to questions and requests. Overall, a great time was had by all and I would definitely stay here again.
