Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Pleasure ensure studio and spa are locked, as well as all other doors and windows. Please return keys to key holder next to pantry and main key into lock box near front door and jumble code.
Please leave property as clean and as close to as you found it as possible, including putting furniture in its original position, put all dirty cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher and turn it on.
Please don't forget to wipe down places like inside the microwave, and please let us know if any cleaning products are running low or you have noticed anything requiring maintenance or replacing.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
When booking you are agreeing to respectful use of the property including all furnishings etc and there will be fees for items broken or taken.
On booking you are agreeing to basic maintenance of the spa which includes adding chemicals at certain intervals during your stay to maintain hygiene
The studio is to be left as found on checking out as the cleaners do not clean the studio. Please leave this area in a "ready to go" state.

Best accom on Bruny!

My young family and I had the most wonderful stay at Helen's property. Everything has been thought of, including the dog bowl if you're travelling with pets. I am already planning my next visit!

Beautiful home

Everything you could want or need was there and easy to access, and clearly labelled. Helen was so great to communicate with before and during our stay. We’ll definitely look at rebooking.

If you are into wildlife and birdwatching, as we are, this place had it all. One morning a wallabee the next an enchidna. Birds everywhere. The property is clean and comfortable, good WiFi and a good location. We loved it. Highly recommend

Home away from home

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxed time in Bruny Island based at the Lighthouse Cottage. The house was very comfortable with nothing lacking either in utilities, linen and kitchen equipment and food basics. Helen and Tim were easy to communicate with and provided helpful local knowledge. I was born in Hobart, Tasmania. I spent a lot of my childhood visiting Bruny Island and have a very soft spot for the island. It has always been my dream to eventually own my own property on Bruny Island, and I am very pleased to be able to share the space I have thoughtfully prepared with visitors to the Island. I have two beautiful dogs - A husky and a malamute and for this reason wanted to be able to offer pet friendly accommodation.

Why they chose this property

My father grew up on Bruny Island, his family owned the Alonnah Pub.
When I was a child, we spent many holidays, new years eves, Easters etc at our shack on Bruny Island and any chance I got to choose what to do for my birthday it would be to go to Bruny Island. It’s an amazing and beautiful spot. I would recommend any Tasmanian and any visitor to Tasmania to visit Bruny Island. There is some beautiful scenery to see there, beautiful beaches and now a lot of wonderful places to visit such as Bruny Island Premium Wines.

What makes this property unique

We have spent a lot of time trying to pick comfortable furniture and adding things to make everyone’s stay extra comfortable and memorable. With many games, a Nintendo Wii U and a separate studio with a fridge, pool table and bar table with stools.
