Relax with the whole family at this beautiful cottage along the Trent Severn Waterway. Located 2 hrs east of Toronto, 10 minutes from Campbellford where Canada's Sweetest Bakery (Dooher's), World's Finest Chocolate outlet, Cheese Factory, Aron movie theatre, a variety of restaurants to choose from, from fast food to fine dining, etc, are located & 6 minutes from Havelock. The waterfront view is to die for. This is an amazing spot to swim, fish, kayak, canoe, boat, read, etc. Have a bonfire by the water or rest on the hammock and catch the sunset and rise. Amazon Prime is included for rainy days as well as Bocce Ball, tetherball, and horseshoes for active guests. 2 person inflatable Kayak & an Inflatable Paddle Board can be used upon signing waiver . You'll also be sure to catch a glimpse of some of the stunning wildlife in the area.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
We ask clients to leave the property as they found it. Nothing left on or running eg., dishwasher, fireplace, etc. Please ensure if you have pets, that you clean up after them.
Please ensure all doors are locked and the keys are left on the kitchen table. Just put the handle lock on in the kitchen and pull the door closed.
We take care of garbage and recycling. Please just ensure the lid is secured on the garbage as raccoons have been known to try to find a snack.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We charge 50$ if guests don’t pick up after their dogs
Absolutely NO FIREARMS or WEAPONS of any type allowed at our property. This is grounds for IMMEDIATE end to your stay with zero reimbursement.

Great escape from the city!

My friend and I stayed at the cottage for two nights. The property is beautiful and the house was comfortable and functional. The tour by the property owner was very informative too.I brought my two small dogs and they enjoyed the stay as well. I would return here again.

AMAZING VACATION SPOT

If we could give more stars we would, we had such an amazing time that half way through our visit we decided to stay an extra day. The hosts were wonderful people and were on top of everything and they communicated all the way through. Meeting you on day 1 with a welcome basket was a very sweet touch. Weather you enjoy wildlife, reading a book, playing games with the kids you are all set, even the fishing was fun & plentifull! The sunsets and watching the boats go by on the river was breathtaking. Both towns are close by (5-10 min) with lots to do. The cottage has absolutely EVERYTHING you need. We cannot wait to go back next year. Thanks Jayne & Jason for a very memorable vacation

Beautiful way to spend Canada day weekend

Tremendous stay. A wonderful setting with all the conveniences of home but with a rustic cottage feel. Though there is much to commend, we all adored the bed sheets and would love to know where they were purchased! Minor recommendations would include full size towels, towel hooks in the bathroom, and sharpened butcher knives. Thanks for making our visit a memorable one.

We had a great time overall. The grandkids enjoyed the water and fishing off the dock. The bbq was excellent and we had visitors it was great to have. Overall a nice experience. The back yard was beautiful however access to the water was not good. The rocks were slippery and it was difficult to get in and out of the water easily. Our dog would have used the water to swim which was one of the reasons we chose this Vrbo but he did not feel safe entering the lake. The master bedroom and ensuite were lovely but the rest of the sleeping quarters and kitchen were definitely very "cottagy" and small. The upstairs bedroom and the room with the bunk beds were extremely hot and not conducive to a good nights sleep.

Peaceful and beautiful

This was an amazing vacation. Fire pit, lake and stars at night were my highlight. The cottage has everything you need and a town is just a few minutes away if you need groceries or do not feel like cooking :) This place is dog friendly and there is plenty of room for them to play and swim. Also, you can take them for a quite a walk. Thank you Jayne and Jason, you are great hosts and I am glad I came across your Vrbo account.

Perfect vacation in the peaceful and beatiful lake front cottage

I have never seen a cottage this clean before. It was spotless and well-organized, making our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils we needed, and there were plenty of patio chairs outside. The evening sunsets were especially peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a bonfire. We were even lucky enough to see fireflies. With no neighbors around during my stay, it was quiet and felt like our own private retreat. The hosts were very kind and provided detailed explanations, which made our stay even better.

Lake side cottage with a beautiful view of the lake

Host Jason & his daughter were waiting to receives us. Jason gave us a tour of the premises and there was welcome gift (basket of goodies & wine) on the kitchen table. Safe fire pit by the deck near the lake to enjoy the sun set. Firewood was available in a neighbour's property right across the cottage for $5 per bundle. Overall, it was a great experience and we would love to go back for a longer stay.

The perfect getaway!

My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights mid-week and it was heavenly! Jayne and Jason were incredible hosts. When we arrived they gave us a brief tour and rundown of the property and left us with such a thoughtful gift basket. The cottage was immaculately clean and the bed and linens were fresh and cozy. On our second day we basically lived on the dock, enjoying the water and the sunshine. In the evenings we took advantage of the fire pit and the convenience of firewood for sale directly across the street. The cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay, we only left once to visit Dooher’s Bakery. Such a lovely spot to rest and recharge, we will be back again next year for sure!

How life should be!

From the over all atmosphere/ambiance of the area itself, to the cottage inside and surroundings abound, one word! Unplug! The serenity, the peace and the quiet is what it's all about. 10/10 cottage, property & hosts

The lakefront cottage and it's location was everything we hoped for and more. Perfect view of the lake, great for swimming, paddling or floating. When canoeing, we saw a beaver, porcupine, blue herons, green herons, turtles, a mink and lots of other birds we dont often see at home. There is lots of sun on the docks after late morning, but also mature trees and a nice spot to relax in the shade. Grass on all sides of the property for outdoor games. Dog friendly with fence separating from neighbours. Fire wood for sale across the street, came in handy for the raised fire pit that we sat around almost every evening. Jason & Jayne were fabulous hosts. Very responsive and met us the first day to show us around. Very generous and thoughtful, leaving us a welcome basket. Will look to stay here again in the future & would 10/10 recommend.

This place is a dream! The cottage a PERFECT getaway. Everything was well stocked, the sunsets are UNBELIEVABLE, the water is great for swimming/fishing/water activities, the view alone is what makes this cottage so spectacular. I must have 100 pictures of the water during different times of the day. Everything was clean and the exterior is so perfect for bbq, dinners, enjoying your morning coffee (the wildlife is great 530-7am). Its so serene & peaceful. Laying in the hammock is a must. Theres lots of shade around the deck so perfect for little ones playing & a cool breeze (there was a heatwave while we were there but youd never know). The dock is full of sun! The owners are excellent, kind and quick to respond. We are a little family of 3 (with a toddler) and have only good things to say about this place. The town to Campbellford is about a 15min drive away. Everything there is close together. A great No Frills for groceries, banks, a theatre, a play park/water park which our son enjoyed almost daily, Doohers Bakery, ice cream shop, the suspension brigde is close as well with a beautiful terrain (stroller friendly), we also went to the Campbellford Fair and watched the demolition derby. Be sure to go horseback riding at Horsin Around Riding Ranch, lovelyfamily with great horses. Everyone in town is super friendly. Im so happy we found this place and plan to return in the future. Thank you so much to Jayne & Jason for making this such a welcoming place for me and my family.

Best summer getaway!

The perfect summer getaway to unwind with family and friends! Jason and Jayne has been the loveliest host as they made sure to meet and greet us before we enter their lovely home. The welcome basket with sweets, treats and a greeting card was a plus! Their place was such a lovely home. All the cottage feels with a touch of a modern vibe! Surrounded by bright windows and a cozy living room to chill while playing a game board or watch TV. The main bedroom was so beautiful as you see the sunlight come thru the roof in the morning. The bedsheets smells sooo good with the softest pillows ever, it was hard to wake up early! In the afternoon, we were able to enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing in the deck greeting the very friendly boats that passed by and enjoying the view seeing unique birds around too! The sunset was the BIG highlight at night! You also get to chill in the deck with a warm bonfire under the stars :) We will definitely come back!!! We rate this lovely home 11 out of 10!
