A 4-Season Private Lakehouse

Welcome to the Cottage on the Rocks - a private lakefront
4 season cottage on MacLean Lake (approx. 1.5 hours from the GTA). Close to Mount St. Louis, White’s Falls, Six Mile Lake Provincial Park, downtown Coldwater, downtown Orillia, and many more attractions.

Summer/Fall
MacLean Lake offers clean, warm water, perfect for swimming, diving, relaxing and water sports. Connecting to many lakes, it is the perfect spot to go explore on your kayak, canoe, or motorboat. There are 2 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards for you to use with compliments - 4 adult life jackets of varying sizes. There is a boat launch 1 minute walking distance from the cottage. The lakehouse is a short drive to downtown Coldwater, downtown Orillia, Casino Rama, with plenty of hiking/biking trails, snowmobile/ATV routes and so much more.

Winter/Spring
MaClean Lake freezes over winter, and is the perfect backdrop for a game of hockey on the ice, snowshoeing or snowmobiling. You are also a short drive from skiing or snowboarding at the local Mount St. Louis Moonstone ski area. Cottage on the Rocks is steps away from great ice fishing - so pack your fishing tent, supplies and gear and spend your mornings ice fishing.

Cottage on the Rocks has space for 8 cars directly in our private parking lot.

The property has an extensive water filtration system - safe for you and your guests. It is on a septic system so please note that we need to be aware of all gusts that will be onsite, and only toilet paper can be flushed.

Amazing! It’s a true 4 season lake house that delivers. We had a fantastic time here and the host, Alex was uber responsive to everything- including calling in a favor to Mother Nature to make it a splendid 2 nights here for us in cold water. Thank you, Alex!!

Family friendly vacation rental

Beautiful property on the lake. Very clean with everything you need - and more. Indoor and outdoor toys and games kept all ages entertained. Lake access is clean and not weedy (other parts of the lake are weedier). Conveniently close to boat launch and a short 15 min drive to the little town of Coldwater (which has everything you need). The sauna and hot tub are nice touches but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use them as we stayed during a heat wave! The air conditioner was key!
