About this property
Beach Delight, Old Dunsborough
Your own slice of down south paradise! Experience the best of Dunsborough living, thanks to this home's enviable position and spacious layout. With beach and ocean views from the upper floor, and a 2 minute casual stroll to that very beach, you will never want to leave the lovely Beach Delight.
A generous 3x2, this home is the perfect getaway for a small family, group of friends, or two to three couples.
All bedrooms are located on the ground floor, with the master bedroom and en suite at the front of the property, and bedrooms 2 and 3 near the main bathroom on the other side. The master has a king bed, walk-in wardrobe and en suite with bath, shower, vanity and WC. It also has its own access to a deck area at the front of the house. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and its own access to the main bathroom. Bedroom 3 has 2 singles, which can zip together to make a king (upon prior request), and a playroom adjoined, with toys for kids to enjoy. The main bathroom has a shower and vanity, with the WC separate (in the laundry area). The laundry is equipped with a washing machine & dryer.
The entertaining space in this home will bring everyone together, thanks to a cosy downstairs lounge with smart TV and wood fire for the winter months, alongside an open plan dining area and generous kitchen. There is also a reverse cycle air conditioning unit in this area, to keep everyone comfortable no matter the season.
Upstairs is a huge second lounge, also with a smart TV, and some additional seating to enjoy the afternoon light, either inside, or outside on the balcony. Here, guests can enjoy the wonderful views of the ocean, as well as the vibrant local bird, such as the resident ringneck parrots, pink & grey galahs, black cockatoos and ospreys. In the summer and autumn, you may spot the occasional pelican or black swan down at the beach as well. Bring some binoculars, and you might even spot a whale out in the bay (August-November)!
What's Included?
All linen is provided (excl. beach towels). All of our accommodation is fully self-catered, and as a courtesy we provide a basic starter pack for each stay, including: soap, toilet rolls, tea, coffee & sugar, basic cleaning products, and some cooking essentials (oil, salt & pepper). We provide these items to help kick-start your holiday in a stress-free way, but guests are responsible for the ongoing supply of anything they should require beyond the starter pack provided.
During winter months, we provide some complimentary wood, kindling, matches and fire lighters for houses with indoor fire places. Guests requiring more wood for their stay - or wishing to use the fire outside of winter months - will need to purchase their own, available at local service stations and hardware stores.

Wake up to bird song before popping into town for a coffee and paper, or enjoy breakfast on the terrace. Old Dunsborough boat ramp is mere minutes away, so pack your beach bags and head out to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay before grabbing some lunch at one of the many wonderful eateries of Dunsborough town. The region offers an abundance of activities, so whether you want to take a full day out or just keep it local, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained on a visit to Dunsborough.
This home enjoys the enviable position of being within easy reach of the beach, town and great amenities at the Dunsborough & Disctricts Country Club. The closest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and Old Dunsborough boat ramp is just a 6 minute walk. The foreshore in this area is the place to be, especially for families, thanks to beautiful, calm waters, children's play areas, BBQs/picnic areas and a strategically placed coffee van (Silver Bullet Espresso)! During the summer, there is a safe swimming area established with shark nets, so the whole family can swim, paddle and play with full peace of mind.
The Dunsborough & Districts Country Club is a short walk away, with golf, tennis, bowls, croquet and world class mountain bike trails which extend into Meelup National Park. The Club also offers great value meals and bar facilities.
Dunsborough is the jewel of the South West region, located on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. At low tide, the beach has shallow, clear waters, perfect for kids to play and splash around safely, and on a nice day you will find happy groups of visitors and locals alike paddling, floating, fishing and boating in the serene waters of the bay. Just outside of town there are some more secluded beaches, like Curtis Bay and Meelup. Dunsborough is home to many lovely local boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and provides a hub for everyone to enjoy good shopping, food and entertainment. A laidback coastal town with a lovely community feel, it experiences a large swell in population during high season, yet you would be amazed how peaceful holidaying here can still be, thanks to beautiful surrounding bush, leafy suburbs and long stretches of pristine beach.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.
