Summary:
Your own slice of down south paradise! Experience the best of Dunsborough living, thanks to this home's enviable position and spacious layout. With beach and ocean views from the upper floor, and a 2 minute casual stroll to that very beach, you will never want to leave the lovely Beach Delight.
The Space:
A generous 3x2 home, this coastal retreat is the perfect getaway for a small family, group of friends, or two to three couples, ideally located in beautiful Old Dunsborough.
All bedrooms are conveniently located on the ground floor, offering privacy and easy access. The master suite sits at the front of the home and features a king bed, walk-in wardrobe, and a spacious en suite complete with bath, shower, vanity, and WC. It also opens directly onto a private front deck—perfect for a quiet morning coffee.
Bedrooms two and three are positioned on the opposite side of the home, near the main bathroom. Bedroom two includes a queen bed and semi-ensuite access, while bedroom three offers two single beds that can be zipped together to form a king (on request), plus an adjoining playroom filled with toys—ideal for families travelling with children. The main bathroom includes a shower and vanity, with a separate WC located off the laundry, which is fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer.
Designed with connection and comfort in mind, the home features a welcoming downstairs living area complete with a smart TV and cosy wood fire—perfect for winter stays. This space flows into an open-plan dining area and a generous, well-equipped kitchen. A reverse cycle air conditioning unit ensures year-round comfort.
Upstairs, a spacious second lounge provides the perfect retreat to relax and unwind. With another smart TV, reverse cycle air conditioning, comfortable couch, and balcony access, this is where the home truly shines. Take in sweeping ocean views while enjoying the afternoon light, or step outside to soak up the coastal atmosphere.
Nature lovers will be especially at home here. Keep an eye out for local birdlife including ringneck parrots, pink and grey galahs, black cockatoos, and ospreys. Down at the beach, you may spot pelicans or black swans, and during whale season (August to November), there’s even the chance to see whales passing through the bay—binoculars recommended.

Guest Access:
The whole home is for exclusive guest use only. The property is part of a duplex, but both homes are positioned to give residents complete privacy. There is an adjoining wall (at the rear of the property, bedrooms 2 & 3), and a gate in between, but this is kept locked at all times.
The Neighborhood:
Wake up to bird song before popping into town for a coffee and paper, or enjoy breakfast on the terrace. Old Dunsborough boat ramp is mere minutes away, so pack your beach bags and head out to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay before grabbing some lunch at one of the many wonderful eateries of Dunsborough town. The region offers an abundance of activities, so whether you want to take a full day out or just keep it local, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained on a visit to Dunsborough.
This home enjoys the enviable position of being within easy reach of the beach, town and great amenities at the Dunsborough & Disctricts Country Club. The closest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and Old Dunsborough boat ramp is just a 6 minute walk. The foreshore in this area is the place to be, especially for families, thanks to beautiful, calm waters, children's play areas, BBQs/picnic areas and a strategically placed coffee van (Silver Bullet Espresso)! During the summer, there is a safe swimming area established with shark nets, so the whole family can swim, paddle and play with full peace of mind.
The Dunsborough & Districts Country Club is a short walk away, with golf, tennis, bowls, croquet and world class mountain bike trails which extend into Meelup National Park. The Club also offers great value meals and bar facilities.
Dunsborough is the jewel of the South West region, located on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. At low tide, the beach has shallow, clear waters, perfect for kids to play and splash around safely, and on a nice day you will find happy groups of visitors and locals alike paddling, floating, fishing and boating in the serene waters of the bay. Just outside of town there are some more secluded beaches, like Curtis Bay and Meelup.
Dunsborough is home to many lovely local boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and provides a hub for everyone to enjoy good shopping, food and entertainment. A laidback coastal town with a lovely community feel, it experiences a large swell in population during high season, yet you would be amazed how peaceful holidaying here can still be, thanks to beautiful surrounding bush, leafy suburbs and long stretches of pristine beach.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
Please see the Guidebook for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, shop and what to see & do in this fabulous region. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, so please get in touch if you need any pointers ahead of your stay.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.
Getting Around:
Dunsborough has a number of walking and bike paths, meaning that it is very easy to get around on foot and any wheels of your choice. We are fortunate to have a couple of local business offering bike hire, and Dunsborough has recently been included in an e-scooter initiative.
This house in particular is a very short walk (~2 mins/170 metres) to the beach, and 20 mins walking/5 mins (1.5kms) easy cycling distance to town, so no need to hop in the car if you want to stay local. The property is also very close to the Dunsborough Country Club, offering some great MTB trails.
Visitors wishing to explore the surrounding area will need a car.

Beautiful spacious property, very well equipped and only a short stroll to the beach. It was great having access to the garage too, especially as it was quite rainy during our stay!
Great location with a very quick walk to the beach. House is spacious with two TV rooms allowing teenagers to have their own space. Kitchen is well equipped.
