The property was a great location for our visit with family in the area. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Very quiet! Hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
A little difficult to find so prepare yourself on maps ahead of time. The guesthouse is very clean, well stocked and is in a great location for trips to Victoria, Sydney and access to the airport and ferries. So quiet and comfortable beds so no problem getting a good night sleep. Would stay again.
Beautiful well-appointed home, convenient for ferries, with handy local amenities. Great welcome from JT with helpful information about things to do nearby. So many things to do, I wish we could visit more often. Loved watching the turkeys over the fence- great entertainment
This little house was great for two couples. We enjoyed the privacy, the quiet countryside, the well-supplied kitchen, and the host's very own roasted coffee! Easy drive to Victoria. Would stay here again.

We loved our stay so much. My aunt and I stayed the first night and it was so great. My new husband and I stayed the next two nights. The area is so quiet and we walked to the pumpkin patch. It was an absolutely stay to be before and after our wedding. The rooms were clean. We had plenty of space. Highly recommend the area and the house. The hosts were absolutely amazing too.
We loved our time wt this cute hobby farm. The hosts were great and lived nearby. The coffee and little additions such as snacks and cream were a bonus.
We will stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay and found the place clean and well stocked with dishes, etc. Perfect for two couples. There are nice views and quiet places to walk or ride bikes. Heather and JT are wonderful hosts.

Clean and homely with a peaceful and beautiful setting
The accomodation was a lovely place, very tidy and clean and welcoming. Only minutes from the local shops to grab groceries, this was a perfect base to see things like Butchart Gardens and travel to Victoria.
Communication with JT was easy and we chatted through VRBO no problem.
If we ever come back to the Island, we will sure seek you out as a place to stay again!

Thank you Matthew. It was a pleasure hosting you and we’d be happy to have you again!
This is a nice, clean, roomy house and a very quiet setting. You have lots of privacy but close enough to anything, I’d recommend this if you are not keen on city noise but are house enough to take in the sights.

Thank you Paige…we’re glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope you had some good rides while you were here.
Loved the space, loved the location. Clean and well equipped. We would stay again—only caveat is to be aware that there is no A/C, so it gets very hot on hot summer days.

Hi Lorraine, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for your feedback. Thanks for your suggestion (and this recent heat wave) we have gone ahead and purchased a portable air conditioner for the unit. Much appreciated and please come again!
My husband and I recently spent a little over 3 weeks at this beautiful property and it was a joy.We were looking for a place to unwind and relax and this guesthouse fit the bill. The hosts have thought of everything, I particularly appreciated the vast array of cleaning products, the amazing 7 cities coffee and the welcome gift. This is by far the best VRBO we have stayed in. Thank you JT & Heather.

This was our first time using vrbo. Was very pleased with the property and the hosts. My husband and I travelled to the island with my in-laws. There was plenty of room and the home was bright and spacious. I would recommend this property highly. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property was close to a lot of sights and about 15 minutes from ferry.
This was a perfect place for us to stay for a family gathering nearby. The house was immaculate had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of glasses, mugs, cutlery, everything. The house is very close to restaurants and amenities but far enough away so that it's very quiet and private. JT is a very helpful and responsive host and was very responsive when we had questions. We would stay there again in a minute.
JT and Heather are ultimate hosts! Friendly, helpul, accommodating, anything we needed we just had to ask and they responded right away. All the little extras were appreciated, especially the small welcome snack pack, shampoos, games, bbq, delicious coffee! They offered true country living -we loved the turkeys, especially when they ran, it provided lots of chuckles.Although in the country the property is close to amenities. The restaurant suggestions were great! If you have a chance to go to the RnR Diner for breakfast, do so! It is amazing

Thank you so much, we enjoyed meeting you and glad you enjoyed the farm. The turkeys provide us with endless laughs too. Hope to see you again!
The property was perfect for two couples. We had adequate space and privacy, and the home was well stocked for what we needed for cooking. We had brought our bikes with us and two vehicles, and there was plenty of space to park and lock everything up. It was a great location, close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and exploring, yet quiet enough to relax after a day of activity. The host was also available and helpful. We would stay there again.

About the host
Hosted by JT
Hi, I’m JT. My wife Heather and I recently purchased a hobby farm on the outskirts of Saanichton, a rural community on the Saanich Peninsula in beautiful Victoria. We gave up the hustle and bustle of city life, big box stores and traffic jams to pursue our dream of living the farm life...the idea of a small acreage and privacy that comes with it was very appealing to us.
As a former pastor, I value the importance of both the local and global community, and Heather and I share a vision of creating an atmosphere that welcomes all visitors. By day, I am a sales and marketing manager for a local custom home builder and in my off-hours I run a local artisan coffee roasting business, 7 Cities Coffee Roasters - and yes, the coffee you'll find in the guest house is freshly roasted. Heather is a part time grade 2 teacher at a local elementary school. When not at work, she enjoys farm life, being a mom and has a passion for creativity. She is always game for a new recipe, crafting idea or art project. In fact some of the art you'll enjoy can be found decorating the walls of our guesthouse.
While we are just getting started, we look forward to continuing to develop our little hobby farm and hope that you enjoy wherever we're at on our journey during your stay. And depending on the season, we'll be happy to share some of the fruits of the land for you to enjoy. While you're here, please don't hesitate to wander up for a chat if you see us out working in the fields...and if you fancy rolling up your sleeves, we have lots of spare gardening gloves and tools!
Why they chose this property
From the moment we first turned onto Newman Rd, we knew we had found our dream location. The views as you drive down to our property are stunning - wide open farmland surrounds us and the elevation provides sweeping views of the Salish Sea.
What makes this property unique
Our hope is that when you arrive at our vacation rental - whether you're in Victoria for work or play - is that you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that accompanies our little haven. We hope you'll appreciate a bit more privacy than the typical laneway home or backyard cottage, as our guest home is located at the far end of the property from the main home. We know it's much easier to fully unwind when you're not feeling that you're invading someone else's space. Welcome to your home away from home!
