Turner's Nook was a nice place to stay while we toured around Kingston and the surrounding area. It was clean, well organized and comfortable. Sandy was a great host!
In town for the weekend, this was a great place to spend the night. Clean, spacious and had a private entrance and check in. Sandy was amazing, super pleasant to communicate with and I felt welcomed from the time I stepped through the door, to the time I checked out. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Thanks!

About the host
Hosted by Sandy Turner
Hi, I’m Sandy! I’m a proud resident of Kingston, and I’ve called the "Limestone City" home all my life.
I love creating spaces where people feel empowered and equipped—whether that’s a professional needing a perfect "command post" to stay organized or a family looking for a stress-free home base.
When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me working on creative projects. I run an online business called Shop Oh Hello, where I make all-natural lip balms and design guides for ESL newcomers. I love being a host because it allows me to meet people from all walks of life and share the hidden gems of my city—from the best local walking trails to the most iconic swimming spots.
I’ve designed Turner’s Nook to be more than just a place to sleep; I wanted it to be a functional, welcoming retreat where you have everything you need to succeed, whether you're here for work or play.
I can’t wait to welcome you to Kingston!
Why they chose this property
The Neighbourhood: Quiet Comfort Meets Trailside Adventure
What I love most about this neighbourhood is the perfect balance it strikes. While we are just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Kingston and the 401, the immediate area feels like a peaceful retreat.
The highlight for me is definitely the 4.3 km Greenwood Park Loop Trail that sits right in our backyard. It is a beautiful, year-round path where you’ll see locals walking their dogs, joggers enjoying the fresh air, and families heading to the nearby parks and soccer fields. It’s the kind of place where people still wave hello as they pass.
I also love the convenience of the Waaban Crossing; it has completely changed how we experience the city, making it so easy to pop over to the downtown waterfront or the Cataraqui Town Centre without the stress of a long commute. Whether you are watching the sunset over the nearby bay or grabbing a coffee at a local shop, there is a sense of community here that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.
What makes this property unique
What truly sets Turner’s Nook apart is the intentionality behind every detail. I don’t just provide a room; I provide a high-functioning environment designed for real life.
While many rentals offer a desk, I’ve curated a professional executive workstation with an L-shaped layout and secondary monitor, specifically for the remote worker or military professional who needs to stay organized and productive.
I also know that long-term comfort is found in the "extras." That’s why you’ll find complimentary laundry with detergent included, a Roku system in Guest Mode that respects your privacy, and a kitchenette stocked with "smart" appliances like an air fryer and convection oven that make meal prep easy without needing a full stove.
Finally, our location offers a rare "best of both worlds" experience: you have the peace of a quiet, upscale neighbourhood with a 4.3 km nature trail in the backyard, yet you are only minutes away from the historic heart of Kingston via the Waaban Crossing. It’s the perfect blend of local charm, modern convenience, and professional utility.
