I recommend this property to all you peace and nature lovers! We spent 10 days here and found it to be exceptional - the cabin, the host, and the surroundings.
The only thing we notice is there was NO smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors either kind of dangers to not have. Otherwise property was very nice.

We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take safety concerns like this seriously. We’re also glad to hear you found the property very nice. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The cabin has two combined smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, one on the ground floor and another on the second floor.- These were installed before the cabin was ever available for booking. Both detectors are tested monthly, batteries are changed as needed, and the owner has now started keeping a log of inspections to ensure accuracy going forward. The owner also has pictures of the detectors available if needed. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. It helps us continue to improve and provide safe and enjoyable stays for future guests.
It was a very relaxed weekend with good friends. The house is equipped with all you need to enjoy the stay. The host answers very quick and She is very nice.
Loved the property with the pond, that it was dog friendly, the bedroom set up, the cleanliness, the little touches such as towels, linens, paper towels, little chocolates, wine, etc. Adorable place. Beds were super comfy. The only negative was the sulfur water smell. And maybe needs one more couch. The manager seems to be working on the sulfur water so hopefully that will improve soon. Thanks for a great stay!

From the owner: "Tina, thank you for the review. The water issue has been resolved. I would love to host you again in the near future."
This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting, but maybe best enjoyed in seasons other than winter. Our Christmas stay here was pretty rough - not entirely the fault of the host, but we had to leave a day early. We arrived in 20 degree weather. The heat did eventually keep up, but signs posted in the inside the home had erroneous information about the use of the wall heating/cooling units, and that took some time to sort out and warm the place up initially. The place was big enough to accommodate our 6 guests and the bedrooms were nice, but there wasn't enough seating for meals. The lake and fire pit are probably wonderful when you can enjoy them.We did appreciate being able to bring our pet, enjoyed the kitchen, and were grateful for tissue boxes in the bedrooms. A rare touch!A snowstorm dumped about 8 inches the first night and the hilly driveway wasn't plowed until 2 days later. We spent the second day shoveling out, but one of our guests couldn't make it down the driveway and had to go elsewhere. The next day we woke to frozen pipes and no water, and our host couldn't find a plumber to come till the following day.Our host was fairly responsive, but unable to help resolve our biggest issues (snow removal and restoring running water) in a timely manner. Requests to get early check-in because of the impending storm went unanswered. The management company, Evolve, never replied to messages left on the app.

Spacious and Clean
Interior appears to all be newly remodeled. Kitchen was fully equipped and even the little details such as bug spray was provided. First floor laundry was very convenient. Never used the fire pit but it’s a cute set up. Back yard was very spacious, great place for letting the dogs run. The pond in the back yard had a walking path around its perimeter. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. The only thing I would recommend that more seating and tables available in the living areas. It was good for us with 4 guests, but if fully occupied it wouldn’t be enough. Loved the country setting without being too far away from great restaurants, bakery’s, parks, and health clubs.
The house was very cute and plenty of room however, there is a very severe water filtration problem the entire house smelled like rotten eggs and it was almost impossible to shower or brush our teeth because the stench was so bad..some people chose not to shower and we used bottle water for our teeth. I informed the host and they are well aware but did not seem to care

My friends and I are in our 50's. We planned this fishing trip on the Hudson for bass and the first place we reserved fell through. This Wappinger Falls VRBO location was our fallback and we were very pleased with it and prefer it to where we almost stayed. We had two trucks and a trailered boat. The outside landscaping was fair, but we weren't there for landscaping.
The cabin/ home seems to have been recently remodeled. It was furnished well and smelled fragrant and clean. Floors were very clean. The kitchen was perfect for us since we are also foodies and cooked a lot while there. a Large screen TV was in the adjoining living room for a movie and music. Appliances were clean and new; plenty of pots/ pans, etc. A new stacked washer/dryer were in the kitchen, but we did not use them.
There were two very nice bathrooms and five or six bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. Outside there was a 2nd floor covered deck for morning coffee overlooking the pond. Saw deer, turkeys and ducks in the field. On first floor, facing the pond was a new picnic table (under the 2nd floor deck). In the yard was a fire pit and four chairs. We bought local wood and sat ourside talking, more music and listening to the peepers with a fire.
Overall a very nice place and would reserve it again. We did not need to interact with property owners except for a text I sent upon arrival. Owners did reply. 5 stars, Thanks!
