A very hidden gem - private but so close to everything around the area. The camper was very clean and had everything I needed for a week stay - fridge, shower, stove & even a microwave! My cat seems to enjoy it and liked sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air. Would definately stay here again. Host was very nice.
Stayed for a week of hiking in the blue ridge and exploring downtown. Great central location, close to downtown and close enough to all the hikes we did. Would stay again! Cute and comfy space and suited our needs. Peaceful and private location.
The place is as cozy as advertised. Great location that is very close to downtown (12 minutes to West Asheville and even closer to downtown) but feels remote and peaceful. Easy to find. The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. Comfortably sleeps 2. Three would have been a tighter fit. Will book again!

Thank you Robert!
Yes the property is less than 8 minutes from downtown. So it feels peaceful but is minutes from everywhere in Asheville.
Han's camper was home-y and comfortable. Perfect for campfires and conveniently near all things that you may need or want to adventure. Han is an amazing host and I would definitely book again if I ever find myself in Asheville!
Perfect little RV in the wooded hills. Nice, quiet, clean, spot that is a short drive from downtown.
We stayed in the middle of winter and the rv was nice and warm.
I would def stay again. Thanks!

Thanks Oliver,
So glad you found us. A brand new blower and central hvac does the trick! We also just upgraded the wifi to a google nest system and it cranks!

We really enjoyed our stay at Han's camper! It was the perfect super relaxing getaway. The location felt restful and secluded, but was close enough to town to be able to get there easily. The accommodations were great, and everything was really well-thought out, clean, and well-appointed. We would absolutely go back in a heartbeat!
This little camper was cute, clean and in the best location. The host was helpful and had everything we needed. The bed was AMAZING! Slept with the windows open all night!was very responsive and
So many thoughtful amenities! Coffee, tea, soap in the outdoor shower - it was beautiful. I do love an outdoor shower! Very close to downtown, and perfect for a weekend away. Han was a wondedul host!
What a great little vintage camper! The only thing missing was a little history that I could read about the great space I was staying in.The host is as responsive as you would hope. He normally responds within the hour.I really enjoyed myself and the beautiful surroundings!
We had a very nice stay over the 4th of July. It was very quiet and beautiful in this hilly haven getaway. Black bear watching, hiking to waterfalls, and fly fishing for trout were the outdoorsy highlights from our trip. Other than that, great food all over Asheville!
Super cute and cozy camper! I had a wonderful week on a little writing retreat. It had everything I needed. The best part was sitting out on the porch and being almost entirely enclosed by nature. You can't really see the nearby houses. The Bears initially took me off guard but then I realized that they are just part of the environment and people around here are used to them. Having to take a quick outdoor shower just added to the adventure of it all. I definitely recommend coming and staying here (except for the week that I plan to return, of course).
I loved my stay at the Dragonfly. It was an extended 3 week time where I worked remotely while exploring the city and the surrounding area. Han was an excellent host, responsive when I needed something and constantly thinking about upgrades to the property. The RV itself is cute, and had everything I really needed for a stay in the area. It is rustic, you'll need to brush up on lighting gas stoves, but nothing onerous by any means. And I loved the outdoor shower and fire pit for enjoying beautiful evenings outside. It's also lovely to have the balance of a property that feels remote and secluded while being so close to downtown. Will definitely be my first choice of stay if/when I'm back in Asheville!
The Dragonfly is as it is described, with no hidden surprises. We described it as a gem. It had everything we needed to feel at home and be comfortable. The location felt very remote but it is literally 10 minutes from so much. We will consider booking again if we are in the area. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank you Sara and Joe! So glad you enjoyed Dragonfly and we’d love to host you again anytime!
tucked away amid a stand of bamboo and walnut trees, this camper is just perfect for 1 or 2 people. living space expanded with large front deck and furniture. stayed with my chihuahua toby. outdoor shower is great. never used the one in the trailer. bed is really comfortable and not what I expected in a camper. highly recommend. easy on and off I-240 and quick access to downtown Asheville despite feeling like your "out in the country." would definitely stay again. Host Han is quck to reply to questions and a really laid back, nice guy.
We loved this just right sized vintage camper with great sized deck. Very very quiet. Everything we needed! Our grown children and spouses came over to visit one evening and they all loved it too. Great outdoor shower.
This little camper was perfect for my brother, son and I to stay for a family event over the weekend. It was somewhat difficult to find (at night) and is definitely cozy with some rustic charm, but all the little details and perks were attended to and the host was very responsive pre-visit. Cell service was a bit spotty at the location, but text messages went through fine for us.

Thanks so much Erica!
I'm glad you found the camper perfect for your family. It's funny bc we both rated each other's communication as not so great but that's easily fixed. The WiFi is all new and the signal is strong and fast. Once guests log on they will be fully connected for surfing the web, texts, and phone calls!
I hear that you had trouble finding it at night. I'd love to know more about that. I know the GPS is accurate and the road is well signed. I'm guessing it's hard to see the camper itself in the dark. I've added a pathway of solar lights, more lights on in the camper, and a string of hanging outdoor lights, and I've made an adorable sign of a Dragonfly (the name of our camper) and mounted it to the tree at the entrance.
I appreciate the rustic charm comment and I'm wondering what we missed? It has updated appliances from microwave to fridge, hot water at your fingertips, all new lighting, a new floor, fresh paint, new AC, updated bathroom fixtures, a new outdoor shower, a brand new mattress, and super cozy bedding, a sectional outdoor sofa, and a 200 square foot deck. I wonder if it's the vintage radio and tape deck that caught your eye! Bring your cassettes!
Seriously though, we have focused on updating rustic charm to modern amenities while recognizing that this will always be an adorable, vintage camper tucked into the cove within a few minutes of downtown!
Thanks so much for staying and we look forward to hosting you and that adorable little munchkin again soon!
My girlfriend & I had the best time staying at this cozy camper! Han was a great host & made sure everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better stay during our vacation. We hope to be back!

Why they chose this property
I absolutely love this spot because it's remote, I can hear the coyotes sing, and the wild turkey gobble. I love how quiet it is and there's something special about the light in the cove. All of that and it's 8 minutes from the heart of Asheville!
What makes this property unique
This property is special for Asheville because it's affordable, very unique, and has lots of character. I love having the city a few minutes away while also getting to enjoy the peace, privacy, and wildness of this little spot.
