The property was large enough to handle our group. It had plenty of dishes, but the cookware was badly scratched. The thing we missed the most were window covering in the bedrooms
We brought three generations of family members from two provinces to stay. The location is excellent and there was plenty of room for all. The beds are very comfortable, a feature that really matters when travelling. Overall good experience.
Spacious vacation home close to Halifax, Nova Scotia
We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. It had luxurious touches such as granite counter tops, a huge master suite, large open concept downstairs, and lots of bedrooms. It worked very well for our group. Thank you for hosting us, Christine!
Went for a golf trip with friends. This place was a good central location for golfing and going out. Lots of space for all of us to relax as well.
Comfortable home, would recommend. Christine was very accommodating. We were able to check in early. She is a great host.
We were in Halifax to celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday and really enjoyed our stay. We were close to her house and places to visit. The house has plenty of space for everyone and a great kitchen. My only objection would be that the living areas could use some curtains or rugs to mellow out the noise - when all of us were hanging out and talking, sometimes it was a little loud.
The house beautiful (on the outside) and has the potential to be beautiful on the inside. There was food leftovers in the downstairs fridge. One of the rooms had holes in the wall and door. The master bedroom bed was old and worn and covered with sheets. There were no top sheets on the bed. There was not enough decor and the decor was very ethnic inspired.
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia. I live to try new restaurants, go waterfall hiking and travelling. I often travel between Ontario and Nova Scotia as I am a realtor in both provinces.
Why they chose this property
I love how serene and peaceful this neighborhood is, hence the extremely strict quiet hour rule: Quiet hours run from 10pm-7am, during this time, no use of the balcony and noise must be kept to a minimum. We live in a very quiet residential area and would like to keep the peace and not disturb our neighbours. Absolutely no parties or gatherings to be held at the house and only guests listed on guest list are to be allowed in the house, no visitors allowed.
