The space
The Oceanview Suite is one of three beautifully designed spaces at Mangamaunu Retreat's front house. With its architecturally crafted interiors and stylish mid-century furnishings, this newly renovated suite offers an ideal retreat for your next holiday.

The suite features a super king-size bed (or two king singles), along with a convenient kitchenette equipped with a kettle, toaster, electric stovetop, microwave, and mini fridge. The modern bathroom includes a sleek shower and toilet. French doors open onto the front lawn, providing serene views of the gardens and the beach below.

Our property is just 10 minutes north of Kaikoura, a beautiful beach town famous for whale watching, fishing, surfing, and cycling trails. Mangamaunu Beach, a world-renowned surf spot, is only a two-minute walk down the driveway. It’s perfect for a morning stroll, a swim, or a surf for all skill levels. The beach is also home to native New Zealand birds and fur seals, offering a truly special experience.

The garden of Eden is found!

One of our favorite stays in New Zealand. The room is fabulous, the views are stunning, and the property is unbelievable. Jo was a fabulous host and a beautiful soul, it was like staying with friends. The gardens are so lush, you can spend a day getting lost through the secret pathways while picking fresh fruit from the trees and soaking in the beauty that surrounds you, from the mountain peaks to the breathtaking views of the ocean…. A true paradise, very hard to leave.
