About this property
Seascape Peninsula Bach
Relax in this compact, modern, 2022 built & furnished tiny bach. With a wrap around deck, there's always a spot in the sun/shade, breeze/calm for your deck chair.
The rear has a panorama over the rolling farmland adjoining the Carrington Estate Golf Course & towards the sand dunes at Karikari beach, to Rangaunu harbour as far as Cape Reinga on clear days.
The front has a large garden & distant views of Tokerau Beach in Doubtless Bay, Olive Groves, countryside. Tokerau Beach is 1.2km walk/drive.
The Seascape Peninsula Bach is sited on the tranquil Karikari Peninsula in the rural Far North of New Zealand. It's so freeing when the surf can be smelt, heard & seen most of the time while there. Designed with outdoor living in mind... for hot summer nights in a large spacious garden. It's lovely how close it is to take a walk, boogie board, swim, kayak or surf at multiple beaches with azure waters & soft white sandy beaches. Doorbell camera to assist you with arrival and departure.

About the host
Hosted by Mr Smith
We love hosting because we love holidays and want others to too! We are passionate about travel and want to invite guests to travel to ours!
Why they chose this property
We love the area because, it's a good distance away from the hustle & bustle of city life, like a step backwards in time. We love the plethora of stunning beaches and natural landscapes and the breath of fresh air. We like that it's a very short walk to the dairy/corner shop, takeaways, liquor store and tavern. We enjoy the winery locally, and only half a hour drive to the excellent fish & chip shop in Mangonui, the affordable bakery and main department stores in Kaitaia. We appreciate that this village has fairly good internet coverage by mobile data and broadband so that even when getting away from it all, we can still briefly check on anything if we need to. Last but not least, we love our friendly neighbours because that's really important and we value that.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because it is simplistic, modern, practical, functional and minimalistic. It has loads of natural lighting, the angle of the sun to provides most of the heating in winter. The placement of the doors and windows in the most common wind direction to provide most of the ventilation for cooling in summer. This makes it more economical and more environmentally friendly. The water is sourced from a rain water catchment tank.
We love how this tiny home has massive views all day long. The ever changing sky and harbour can be beautiful whether it's the colours of the sunrise, clouds floating by, boats bobbing on the harbour, surf bubbling & foaming on the beach or stars at night. Sometimes birds, pigs or cattle graze in the field reminding us of an easy going, natural pace of life.
The 64sm deck wraps around the whole bach so that sun lovers may find a warm humid place to relax on the sunny side(s). Likewise, when you want to cool off, shade and seabreeze is available on the other side(s).
The 24sm bach is small because it's faster and easier to clean for guests, cleaners and hosts alike. Accordingly, the microwave, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher & bunkroom & doorways between the master bedroom and bathroom are all small too. It is self catering. We recommend bringing mostly pantry items/dry goods/long life ingredients to work around the small fridge. Or a chilly bin filled with ice to store your drinks so that meats and dairy foods can be kept in the fridge freezer. Ice can be purchased from the local service/petrol station.
The washing machine and dryer have been newly added to the property and are stored in a keter box on the front deck.
Also, newly added is WIFI, new linen for guest use and a doorbell camera to assist with check-in & out on the day of check-in & check-out. The doorbell camera will be switched off during the rest of the days guest stays to offer privacy.
