This place is adorable and perfect for our getaway. The location is an easy walk to town but we felt like we were far away with the trees and limited traffic. The amenities provided were way more then we expected. Lots of bathroom items, kitchen items and robes available for our use. Even a bottle of wine
Beautiful little cottage in a very quiet neighborhood. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and back porch a real bonus to enjoy the quiet of the woods. Nice walk to town and other trails to enjoy. Highly recommend
The only change I would make is to upgrade a bit in the kitchen, mostly a new frying pan or two and go through the refrigerator items and spices as some were outdated. We had a wonderful stay, and the owners were prompt about any questions we had. During the storm, Betsy went out of her way to see that we had pertinent info if the power went out. The cleaning lady was attentive and helpful as was the owner’s daughter. It’s a sweet little cabin, and we enjoyed our time there very much. Historic Grass Valley and Nevada City are fun to shop/explore, and there are some nice hikes nearby. We especially liked Buttermilk Bend. We have lots of photos and great memories!
This little gem is perfect in so many ways! We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again soon. The host has thought of everything and takes care of the guests like few others. The proximity to town and outdoor activities is also much appreciated. The setting in the woods is gorgeous! You can’t go wrong staying in this beautiful place!

The best well equipped rental I’ve experienced. Very quaint and plenty of space for two people.
The furnishings are well taken care of and especially liked the screened back porch with the bbq and swing.
This was our second time staying at the Creekside Cottage. It is a cozy place, well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The location is great, close to downtown Nevada City and walking trails. Great for couples who want privacy and quiet.
Betsy supplies everything you may need for a great getaway. Secluded enough for peaceful days and nights, but also an easy 15 minute walk through the woods into the heart of downtown NC. Loved starting the days on the screened in patio each morning. Would stay here again.
The cottage was so charming! We loved it and were so comfortable. The area was so beautiful and very convenient in that we could walk to town or jump right on a trail!
My husband and I loved staying here. It is super clean with everything you need. The back screened-in porch is the bomb. I could live there. The location is perfect, close to trails and downtown Nevada City. P.S. The deep fried brussels sprouts at National Hotel are to die for.
Wonderful, well maintained cottage in the woods, had all the amenities anyone would need, quiet, wonderful hiking trails all around, and just 10-12 minute walk to Nevada City. Great place.
Betsy has lived in the Nevada City area since 2004. She moved here with her husband Cliff and small daughter (at the time). Betsy and Cliff find great satisfaction supporting our local non-profits. Betsy has been on the board of the Center for the Arts since 2013 and is currently board president. Cliff is board president for our youth organization NEO and volunteers for Nevada County Search and Rescue.
